Grotebags Greenhouse Goodness...a grow log

Another week…already touching the roof…every plant is now flowering.
Found thrips this week during defoliation, added ladybugs and lacewings to the Californicus mites already at work to knock them back. Last season was wildly successful due to those beneficial insects, I have become a true believer. Nice to have an alternative to sprays, you have to start early with them but ‘clean weed’ is priceless, IMHO.
Feels good.

Another week…now they are mocking me.
I was out of room, everything is making flowers, but I needed space to actually be in the room.
So, with heavy heart I got out the trimmers, 8-12 inches off the top of 60+ branches. It was hard starting but it got easier, tough love.

Pulled a huge quantity of fan leaves and cleaned up the lowers again, watering system is pulling +/-10 gallons per day in addition to a tea & hand water twice weekly. There has not been a moment of ‘too dry’ and the plants this year are out growing their predecessors.

Lemon Wookie is just stunning, she’s going to be a beast.

I cut them back as far as conscience allowed and they did not give a shit and have already filled most of that space again.
They are mocking me, *smile.

Another week in: victim of success.
I had no more room…they kept growing…gave it to them hard this time.
Changes in growing conditions have made it so these plants are bigger than their predecessors, did not expect this. There are 3 months left and I was being chased out of the space.

off with their heads!

lemon wookie, a beast

pretty girl…
Found a number of Lace Wing larva while trimming, they have been added twice now after finding thrips.
In total Californucus mites, Lace Wing eggs, Lady Bugs and Tricogramma wasps have been introduced into the greenhouse, looking good so far.

Another week in, girls are healthy…still outgrowing their space.
After two serious trims the plants have filled the space again, a good problem…still a problem.
They are thirsty, am filling the 11 gallon reservoir twice a day now, going to figure out a larger volume water tank, perhaps move it outside the greenhouse…will deal with that in November.
Beneficials are working well, once a week topdress with Greengro flower fert has led to zero feeding issues…feels comfy for now.

Nice and healthy I’m double watering outdoors the heat is killing me. But the plants love it.

Admitting defeat…the Pine Apple clones would not stop stretching, cut them back 3 times and they still crowded me out of the space, finally pulled one out and cut the other back…again. Now I can spread that remaining plant out and still have room to actually be inside.
The girl can grow all she wants now outside, bugs & all…need a reason to make hash.
The other plants are looking great, minimum pest issues, a few thrips & SM here and there. Gonna plug the beneficials again, not free but there is no longer any stress about finding the odd pest, there is another bug hunting them for me.
Almost September, time flies…

have you completed the Lemon Wookie previously? it seems like it would be a high terp and flavinoid seedline.

No, have not grown Bodhi in the greenhouse before.

Another week, not much has changed, plants doing nicely.

The ‘Pine Apple’ clone pulled from tent is not entirely happy, barely moving forward but getting better. Going to be extra hot this week, she won’t like that either.

Had some small plants in the tent, too many so 4 got potted up and moved into the GH to finish the season, they are a ‘Wookiehashplant’ and ‘Pine Apple’ cross I am trying to F2 in the tent…want to smoke some.

Beautiful garden. Thanks for sharing. What’s up with those tubes in your pots?

Thank you.
Those are protection for the Blumat watering ‘carrots’…just keeping the compost away from the adjustment knob. Blumats rock…

Are you putting compost in the tubes?

Thanks

A little protection. Blumat adjustment knobs can be sensitive.

Nice covers!

Another update. Plants doing great despite some neglect. Was away from home and the Blumat system kept everything damp enough…that and flooding everything a few times.

The Lemon Wookie and one of the Pine Apple clones were starting a bit of fade so gypsum was added to the top dress and twice weekly ‘tea’…it’s been working nicely.

Lemon Wookie gettin’ thicc.

BB420 Lav/Neroli91 cross, greasy, smells…

The smalls are flowering and growing up still, seem to like their new home.

The Pine Apple clone has adjusted to life outdoors, she is getting weekly Reaglia & BT spray. That 4" deep tray saved this girl when I was away, held enough to keep her from completely drying.

Morning sun…

Now that’s interesting, I had given up on finding anything to ward off ‘the fade’, I guess I need to pay more attention… :+1:

That space is so inviting. I wanna hand water in there. Beautiful.

I also use BT regular in flower. Have some Regalia too. Wondering if you rinse or wash your plants at harvest?

Thanks

Damn, October is next week already…time flies.
Pulled a bunch more fan leaves again, want to open the plants to allow better air circulation.
Pulled the safety cover off the fan, much quieter now and moves smoother too, it’s been running 24/7 since May, on low power it does a great job. Safety first!
Refreshed the beneficial bugs, perhaps for the last time this season. Have been ordering every 3 weeks since 6/1 and while there are some thrips & SM the weather will be cooling and that ends the threat of those pests trashing everything…the only spray those plants in the GH have seen is 3 applications of Regalia to help my PM paranoia.

Started that a couple years ago, just water & H2O2…mostly for peace of mind, no downside.

Lemon Wookie

Pine Apple

Boogie LavenderXNeroli91 cross…she reeks.

Sulfur in veg for PM?

Do u dunk em at harvest?

Yes I do, it was scary at first…figure it’s just washing off my little bug army.

Used the sulfur once in veg, sprayed the entire room floor to ceiling, everything…then the Regalia on the foliage after that. So far so good.
