Per your instructions cuz lol we’re running MeanWell drivers and also we did double up the fixtures not long after the initial first build.
There at first we had to wait on dispo sales for cash to continue the LED build.

go for it
And @MoBilly Yeah what i was suggesting is a light essentially in the same playing field as the sf4000 and would utilize the longer 4 ft strips and in your case would help fill that other end, if there were some 40-50% off sales going around i just say buy another commercial unit instead of building but building wouldn’t be hard either just 2 drivers 5 strips each driver wired in parallel and a frame to put them on.
Right now looks like the prices are all kinda comparable between the Gen 2’s vs the Gen 3 slims and Gen 3 HO’s the later two giving about 7-8% more light for about that much more cost, so more a preference thing as slims will be more flimsy and the HO’s will run hotter being essentially doubled up strips in one vs the less efficient gen 2 that will be sturdier than the slims and run cooler than the HO’s and your trying to save an extra $10 in the end.
Day 14.9.2
Turned up the light on the left side to 100w, the three plants on the left side being Pink Panama CBG’s the back two are males front is a female so gonna toss the weaker male. back right two plants are struggling a bit those being a bodhi purple wookie and subcool agent orange but being photoperiods they have the time to grow past their issues, the front right two autos im gonna repot to bigger pots and give them a reservoir to themselves as they seem happy.
As for the other side, i should get some watering going for them currently the right side is the time released nutrients with that front plant being a mutant i may pull using the other front plant on the left side to re fill that pot so i can keep an even 4 of the time released nutrient pots, the others are just straight recycled coco pots so will need nutrient watering till their end.
Thanks Mr.Sparkle, I have some reading to do. It’s not a pressing matter. I have something coming to help out the room now. I still want to build one or three when I expand.
Indeed would be worth keeping an eye out for any sales on those commercial units as much fun as building is if plug and play options can be had for similar prices then i advocate for that simplicity wise.
That’s, pretty much, what my wife said. It’s just that I like to tinker and learn new stuff, and my brother was going to guide me through the process. I know it’s not hard to grasp or execute but I haven’t messed with this kind of think much.
There’s not much electronics to work on in old school landscaping. lol
Agreed Ive built my own from scratch previously and it worked flawless for 2yrs untill it caught fire yip it was my own fault. I will always buy from now on… Just be careful and you will be alright.
You also have the added bonus of the warranty if you buy pre built. If you build your own and fuck up blowing a part it’s gonna be difficult claiming on that parts warranty as you’ll have to prove it was fitted correctly.
Day 17.12.5
Left side cab going slow and some lower yellow leaves so took a look and they’re all being over watered so dialed back the watering and may just let them dry for day or two.
Right side decide to pull that other mutant and transplanted the extra over like i was thinking, also dunked a bunch of small under developed Ogreberry seeds the other day well, all but one popped and threw taps and i was looking to get half the amount i started…
Day 19.14.7.0
Oldest and over watered plants still recovering, up potted the two better autos and the two bigger plants running on the time released nutrients and moved them to the upper cabinet, did a shuffle and brought plants over into the left cabinet and have some seeds popping up today int he right cab.
Day 21.16.9.2
Plants are very lack luster at the moment, still trying to recover from the overwatering and root rot they had going on.
One change was i bumped up my fan temp setpoint as i noticed the plants in the upper chamber responded to to the higher temps there from not plugged in fans… had lowered the temps when i went away at Christmas for lower transpiration but hadn’t changed it back.
Also males are dropping pollen, i’ll collect a bit of it in the next day or two and remove those plants, and make some decisions on a bunch of the others.
Been lax on the updates since being back, ended up pulling some plants just cause at the stage they were and what they were showing there was no sense wasting space.
Day 32.20.13
So of the photos on the left hand side of the left cab the only one kinda trucking through all the issues is the purple wookie in the back left, the agent orange “mid left” is still small and very slow going, as for the centripetal force’s “front two left spots” ones a male and the smaller one is the female but im unsure if ill run the male out for pollen or even run out the female as its had some issues when i was away.
Otherwise some of the plants made it unscathed even being forgotten about watering wise for one bin i asked the lady to water fortunately it was the small ones that it wasn’t crucial for, though the autowaters on all the remaining bins were a bit off.
Saying that the top cab with the four plants has been continuing on better now im back and with res change outs, the two left hand side plants got a little burnt or mainly just the front plant from going dry as those two are the time released nutrient pots, saying that and a bit of learning so far if they were just kept adequately watered they have been hassle free, so it seems promising so far. The plants on the right though still unsure what went wrong with them whether a bad last mix or root issue causing some deficiencies or something being out of range pushing issues elsewhere im not quite sure.
Anyways gonna get some more seeds started today and maybe go through the plants currently and refine them a little.
Sexy bushy little bitches!
Morning @Mr.Sparkle!
As always, your plants look impressive!!
Lots to learn here! Thanks a lot!!!
Curious, is it my impression or the plants seem to have more elongated leaves (last pic)!?
Surely pulling up a chair!!
if referring to one side vs the other i wouldn’t hold any weight to that just as they are different strains from the left side compare to the right so could just be how they express.
Now back to regular updates even if i just did so yesterday.
Day 33.21.14
Repotted the photos alongside one auto and gave them their own cabinet likely need to top the back right purple wookie just so that the others can catch up and it doesn’t dominate the entire cabinet, and ill flip them in a week or so if things are looking good.
Top cab recovering from the off watering when i was away.
And the Left cab housing the male centipedial force which ill run out for pollen whether ill use it or not, the other plants being autos which i refine down too four so they can take one reservoir, and will get some more seeds started this week potentially.
Day 35.23.16
May be seeing a bit of nitrogen depletion in the time released nutrients so will think and wait a bit on what i want to do.
The other plants are going with the photo re-pots starting to work towards looking half decent at least with their new growth so once they’re happy then they will be flipped.
Day 37.25.18
Doign a late friday update as i wont be around for an update tomorrow morning, so saying that one of the photo’s got its top lopped off just to make it more even with the others, the bigger plants on the time released nutes were looking a bit more yellow mind you genetic wise there like that but scratched in a bit more nutrients in the top layer of their pots, and mixed up some fresh batches for the reservoirs that need them and topped up water ont he ones with time released nutrients.
Love the grow space…I’ve been considering making a similar set up but with blue mylar; figured it might make for happier plants .
