Hash Making Revisited

I don’t have a freeze dryer!

Can’t find that video thru my pc browser. Going to have to put my password in on the phone. Lol

Made this one 3 days ago allowed to “air dry” for a few hours (oxidation) prior to putting in freezer!

If you watch that video I show how to dry it in the freezer as the finale. You don’t need a freeze dryer. Sitting it on the shelf takes a dump on your goodness.

So why the 15min agitate, the 30min wait then 15min agitate again?
I understand the 30min at the start and end .

I think it’s pretty much freeze dried. You can see some small particles of plant material, but it’s a good batch for greenhouse CBG plant.

15 agitate, 30 sit, 15 agitate, 30 sit, then drain the bags.

Why the sit in the middle of agitate is my question .
What would change if you did a 30 minute agitate ?

Well this is the thing right? It’s basically what you would call “two cycles” If you just wanted to do 15agitate then 30sit and pull the bag that would be one cycle. At three cycles, there is more plant material and less good hash. One day, I’ll pull a batch with one cycle and see what happens. People do it all the time. I think?
Anyways, that’s how buddy showed me, was one cycle was 15/30. back in like 2000 or something 2002? Long time agooooooo!

Time to run some experiments against your baseline lol

experiment?? hah hah, yah after I get this hash yield prediction down pat. I’ve got a few things to work on! The extract tests will have to wait for the big bud to be done in a few weeks. It’ll involve some observations on the microscopic level, like photographs to see if there is a reduction/increase/no change in plants fibers.
Probably size, number of fibers in a manual count! Of course the big bud isn’t part of the prediction batch, because I already know what it can do. That data I will extract from slurricane, GOG, and OGK!
Also, I will save a few buds and dry them out, so I can count any left overs on the buds. See how reduced or extended cycles affect the outcome.

I have an outdoor plant that is seeded by some unknown male. Going to cut her tomorrow and make the whole plant into hash. Really leans Sativa so not expecting a great wash, but LOTS of material to practice on.

Sticking it in wet can create mildew and mold!, if you’ve been making it awhile, you know color is mainly aesthetic.

I put it in my fridge freezer uncovered on a plate to dry all the time. No air dry first. No mildew or mold.

It’s not for aesthetic purposes. I will use this tech to crush it in the competition and gain the adulation of legends in the hash making industry.

So , I cut the plant that I had in my 2x4 down yesterday.
Not sure of the strain , could be oreoz or frosted fruitloops or sumthing else .
It was given to me with free mites so since I’m not running a grow op it didn’t infest anything , I threw it outside this early spring , the mites didn’t like the cold so I took some cuttings this summer and threw this one in the tent to finish .
I got 310g after a quick haircut and into my washer it went .
I did the 30min soak with 3 10min washes because this one only has a 10 minute timer and then a 30 min rest before the drain .
Stickiest stuff I’ve ever pulled , no cutting it up , it just sticks .
It’s in the freezer now .
The experiment is on lol

Once it’s been in the freezer for a bit try cutting it up might take a week or better before your able to chop it without it a puddle . Eventually it will dry enough to chop into tiny pieces and be dry.

Yah each batch is different when they come from different plants. I try and pick those ones apart with the tip of the knife. Just try different methods.

It was sticking to the 90m and the 25m bag as soon as I stopped rinsing it .
