Big difference between a plant in the ground and one in a container.
Vegetative growth will handle the higher temperatures, flowering plants will not handle the extreme heat, without it having an impact on the bud

I have some experience with this. I grew gorilla back in the late 90’s and 2000’s in Louisiana. It would help to know what the conditions are that they die in. Do they have buds ? Do those appear to rot/mold ? Is the time of year they die the rainy season ? What type of fertilizer are you using ? Also I’m working some equatorial sativa’s into potent autos.
