A few local farmers by me have also mentioned how late all the tomatoes are this year as well. So far we’ve been mainly getting the cherry tomatoes but none of the nice big varietals yet.

No, I do have some tomatoes, just these particular ones aren’t producing any, lol
It was my attempt at transposing a meme onto my real life.
Interesting about the tomatoes. What’s the thoughts on it? Our cherry tomatoes petered out, I was assuming they were taking a break in the heat. Some of our larger tomatoes have been kind of dying on the vine…

Not entirely sure but we’ve all been battling these leaf hoppers which turns the leaves curly and yellow. We have to tear them out of the ground and burn them since they carry viral pathogens. So part of it does seem to be loss of crop but not sure why the others have been so slow to ripen.

You can see we put some chicken wire under the perimeter of the bird cage area for raccoons/foxes. It’s good to do that too for raised beds, with a tighter weave for moles
