I just love the Ken Onion series. I have all those including the Shallot. Even have a couple signed limited editions. I keep a Scallion in each of my ATV’s and boats. Love that thing.

Seriously never met a dude that carried a knife that was int a little bitter turd who felt threatened all the time. Same with guns.
LOL, spend most of your time in the city which is perfectly fine. Always carry a knife, it’s a rule, at least the way I grew up. I don’t think of my knives as weapons, I think about them as tools. Same for my guns, they are not weapons, they are tools with specific purposes. If I feel threatened I have hands and feet to sort those problems out.

lol trekking through the woods is different completely, knife becomes a tool.But 20 years in this off colored profession. I met all kinds and there is always common traits on the guys who carried weapons. in city.

I don’t classify my knife as a weapon. Knives do not become a tool, a knife is a tool. Hey I ran a security business for over 20 years and met many drunken morons who feel knives are weapons and they can be used that way. I also grew up in the bush and as such will never be anywhere without a cutting tool and a way to start fire. I suppose it’s just a matter of perspective. Than again I practice my hand drill and bush shelter skills regularly.

well, i was in the city for 38 of 42 years. Met allot of stiff fools with crazed looks in there eyes harboring weapons. I would just shake my head for Soo many reason. No civilian wants to see that shit, it is not a good business move. It is very heaty puts you on radar right away.adds a charge if anything happens and not a good charge. Also even with the weapon they were not shit.And who wants to stab some one for a half P or what ever they were holding. Personal I have anger impulse control issues. chances of me murdering some one is very hi given the opportunity. I don’t need that. I should add I have been through two home professional home invasions by gangs trained by dirty cops. I still don’t care. I tell everyone off I want to tell off and never carry a weapon.

Ok bud, I suggest you seek some help for the anger issues. Clowns showing their knives have never bothered me. I spent 2 years homeless and have seen every kind of crazy you can imagine. My knife is a tool as are my many guns. When it comes to a bad situation with me the last thing to worry about is something I am carrying. I learned to take care of myself very young and for me knives are not weapons. Anyway you take care bud and try to deal with your impulse issues. Life is better when you are in control of your impulses.

It was a solid hit , solid enough to blacked the eye on the other side of my skull. healed fine. It just made me mad when I got hit, but my friend was on the ground with a knee to his back hair being pulled with a blade on his jugular. The two home invaders in the room were scared when I didn’t go down in fact the opposite I lit up like a light bulb. Like switch only thing stopping from turning things around on them was my friend face expression, he was looking at me like Don’t. There was a stranger in his house with a blade on his throat so I get his concern. lol

I have never killed anyone. I am proud of that. My point is in the heat of the moment, the presents of a weapon increases the odds ten fold. Being homeless is neither here or there but don’t those bums stab each other for crumbs?

Shit man I can understand the situation. This thread is hot right now. I’ll tell you the worst iv seen.
My best friend lost his little sister in a head on collision some years back. He asked me if I could get him some opiots. I got him everything long story short.
So the next morning after speed balling heroin and coke I went to check on him. He was stone sober and said follow me. I followed him to his car and he said. I watched my parents cry and I’m gonna kill myself. I said no at least burn yourself with the car lighter. So he pushed the car lighter in until it popped out and pushed it in for another 10 seconds. He pulled that red hot metal out and put it totally out on the inside of his arm and repeated that 10 times I shit you not. It saved his life.
For three weeks after that I watched him cut scabs of his arm. Blood everywhere each time…
