Arguably, the word “scum” when applied to a person, or people. You don’t usually say “scums” it’s “scum” whether it’s one person the speaker considers scum, or a whole bunch of people the speaker considers scum.

Saw this question in a trivia game the other day and thought people in here might appreciate it:

Flowering plants (angiosperms) are divided into two classes based on the number of seed leaves present. Those with one seed leaf have a name with the prefix “mono-”, whereas those with two begin with “di-”. What four-syllable word completes the names of these two classes?
