Humidifiers which one?

For my AC Tube I don’t have the input in my 2x2 for the “proper” set-up show in image 3.

Instead I have my tube aimed down and strapped to the back-corner of the tent with a fan above it to disperse the vapour. Any dripping falls straight down into a “funnel” made out of a 1L Faygo bottle with a 1/4" tube leading down to a 1gallon water bottle in the front corner of the tent.

All my distilled water that doesn’t make it out as vapour collects in this bottle and once it’s 3/4 full I empty it right back into the humidifiers reservoir!

For those that use humidifiers. Do you guys use tapwater and if so, what are your thoughts on the white dust mineral that gets left behind Inside the tent?

I went with AC Infinity humidifier and I’m noticing a lot of white dust buildup… I know this is from the minerals in the tapwater and just curious what people thoughts on that are. Effect on the plant, etc.

I don’t like the idea of having to go buy water from the store, but it’s only $.97 a gallon

Distilled water will prevent the white dust issue.

I know I’m just wondering what the actual effect is on the plants other than being an annoyance as far as cleaning goes

I think there’s more of a negative effect on the humidifier creating scale and possible mold/bacteria that could eventually spread. Get an RO or clean the humidifier often.
