I’m no breeder…
I noticed my gelato crosses has small buds
They are dense but small.
Now if I had let her alternate she would yield more
But uniformly they were all the same
5 plants.
However, it’s some of the tastiest sticky
Jet fuel herb I have grown.
I think some breeders are scams
But maybe smaller tighter is a good trait
I dunno
It is my first run of her, I hope to run her may more times to learn her but I suspect she not bred for
Huge buds.
Just ass kicking ones lol.
I have old school haze crosses, still excellent smoke, but no where as sticky
No where near as tasty.
Im talking Sugar Punch, that herb is awesome
But old school.
I dunno, what I’m trying to say here other than
Maybe in the quest for terps etc
It lead to smaller tight buds.
But I could be totally wrong
My lemon cherry banana gelato

I always wondered if it happens as with fruit trees, if you take off flowers in spring you will have less :apple: but they will be bigger … icon_e_confused|nullxnull

This is a very good point, a lot of nutrient brands recommend way more than the plant can use. Normally too many nutrients will show up as burnt leaf tips before anything else.

K is one of the easiest of the cations to flush out. My soil’s 5 years old and K hasn’t built up at all. Ca and Mg can build up quicker since they have a stronger charge.

Yes for sure they behave the same! More or less, all the C3 plants follow similar trends, just different rates of following the trends.
