ICE or COLD water to express colours

I topped my pots with ice and it pulled the purples out of the Gelato 98 I grew earlier this year

I guess my question would be why? You don’t want the natural colors of the plant but would like to force it to change color through stress?

It’s cool bud, I am curious also. I am just wondering what process is happening that would change the plants color so quickly. Clearly it would be stress but what kind of process is actually happening within the plant? Going to follow along with the thread and see what folks got to say. Interesting thought though, you got me thinking

I just assumed it was pre-98 added didn’t know there was a 98 I’ve grown #33 (Larry bird cut) and have had 45 a few times but had no idea there was a #98 (I’m obsessed with bubba, well Kush really)

I actually am pretty curious too.
This Is the plant that I saved from soil, washed the roots with pHed water at 6.0 for 20 minutes and then put into Coco…It Is a Mira le She Is still here and that she Is fine After many root loss, the time She was washed was 20 days old,so at the end of vegetative stage for most autos.
She Is strong.
She was 1/3rd this size when I transplanted in Coco.I must admit I did a very good job in this plant and getting a Little Better with growing through times.

This was her 1 week After transplant.Look how sick She was.
