Hi guys,I am close to chopping an auto,It Is a big NorthernLight and I was wandering if putting ICE or running cold water through the roots Just for the last 7 days could bring out more purple-blueish colours.Is It advisable?The plant Is in Coco coir
Putting ice cubes in contact with the stem would work
Stem?Not roots?Putting ICE cubes on top of Coco coir?
@Mithridate
On top of coco and in contact with the stem. The plant will think she’s in Canada.
I’ve heard that watering with ice water may work, I find it a little extreme
Yeah nice,thank you friend,that could be an option for sure
@Mithridate
Lol! We use to do this 25 or so yrs ago! Ice on top with a healthy serving of ice water, but only the last 48 hrs before harvest. Plants would purple up over night practically, mostly in the stalk and leafs. Some strains more than others.
I have a strain that I found in a pheno hunt, probably after 99 failed pheno hunts in a row. In short it went down weird and I had one phenomenal RED Girl Scout Cookies growing that taste like a double dose of OG Kush and Durban Poison Terps with about 25% THC and an old school fire smoke. I’ve been saving the strain by starting with the closest known relative and breeding. F3 crowd is in flower for male select and into the breeding cell. I cannot herm the clones and I nicknamed them Raquel Welch. I do not have the cold capabilities under control or the experience with growing colorful ones but here is a pic of my mini flower room. I let the temp drop to 60 during dark cycle a couple nights and the Red GSC changed as my other plants didn’t change. I would love to see someone with a top notch flower tent set up and color experience do a Journal of this strain. Here she is
Wonderful girl
Hope someone can help you with this Little beauty,I have not so much skill or big room for other plants other than my plants.I should try the ICE cubes because here the temperature Is 25° morning and 20 ° night
@SativaKid
Don’t let the phenos get lost
I see your from Italy. I went there twice for 10 weeks total for tech school and training. Both times were in the North and I enjoyed a lot because I was not in need of schooling as it was a formality of representing an Italian Company as an Service Engineer. I stayed in Piacenza, Salabaganza and Venice region.
Nice friend,I see you went to the Northern Italy,going down the heat Is stronger and stronger,so It Is impossible to me to use other methods than ICE cubes or COLD water.
Did you like food there?
@SativaKid
I loved Italy but it changed for the worse. The first time around 2001 and second time 2017. The second time there was thousands of African Imigrants on the streets. As nice as most of them were there is always a bad element when thousands of people are put in those situations, European Politics Suck! All Politics Suck!
So fucking true.Italian politicians are the worst.They are selling Italy and its beauty to foreign people Just for Money,italian politicians are puppets for the major part.
Thank you for your words❤️
Haha, yeah it would seem most techniques were already in use a good while back
Look what I found the other day, dated 1970
Amazing man
Looks like cannabis has been around since the beginning,older than fart and asses lol
Beautiful
@Mithridate
And right there, in the drawing, if you have ever used vermiculite as an ADDITIVE, knows, that shit holds so damn much water, you would drown your roots in that set up, before you got to 8 points of a seedling, with just vermiculite.
On the Topic of CBD Genetics AC/DC is the best plant with the strongest medicine in my opinion. But one of the best is Steven Hawkings Kush is a great CBD that has a little THC and is Calming where most CBD’s are Sativa’s and can give some people discomfort.
Ice Ice Baby!
I was about to say, jeez, how did they use only Vermiculite without drowning the poor babies?
Nice! I remember seeing this as a teenage, new grower in the 80s. I think my friend nicked it from his parents, who where growing at the time. Thanks for the memories @Mithridate !
I’ve always found that using water 20+ degrees colder than ambient pot temps, causes nanners damn near overnight. I can’t say I’ve seen it do anything for color
