Yup. I actually like chili or stew or bake mac n cheese , after they have sit for a day. Or two. Or three. Just seems to get better.
I have perfected my chili recipe over about thirty years of trial and error. My chili is some of the best I have. Ever had. No brag, just fact. My BBQ sauce is second to none as well. I think you guys tried some at the first Blowout.
It’s good, lol no doubt. But Rose’s stew or chili is hard to beat. Best I’ve ever had. But your B-B-Q sauce was very nice. lol
With the big temp drop coming for around 4-5 days, starting I think Weds night. She has meals planned that cook all day! lol Help keep the house warm!

I’ve made both since I have been off work. I think I’m gonna go grocery shopping today and get some ingredients for chili and stew. My daughter made a chicken chili with white sauce and pinto beans last week, It was some tasty stuff. Thanks for getting me motivated.
We must have had big wind last night. I just turned on the light in the yard. My table and umbrella is laying next to the fence in a giant heap. I left the umbrella open by accident. Wind must have got under it and lifted it and threw it across the yard. I’m sure its toast by the looks of it.
Oh crap! No like for thatun, brother! Yeah, they called for high winds all over the place, up to like 50mph gusts. The umbrella on our table in the yard has been closed awhile now.

I made Red Beans and Rice a few days ago. Sure was good. I added a bunch of smoked sausage bits, fried up to a nice brown. . And a good dose of chili powder. That was pretty dam good.

We make the pasta outta home made biscuit dough, roll it out flat n cut into strips. Damn that makes a thick gravy/broth! let the chicken n seasonings cook all day then add the pasta and wooohooo! lol

She makes up homemade buttermilk biscuits for almost any meal she cooks all day in a pot

I love them like that. I call them slicks. Because they don’t turn into a biscuit. They stay kinda dough-ey if that makes sense. I love it like that. My wife is dam good at cooking too. As you know by my belly. I ain’t missed many meals. Haha.
