It took too damn long, that’s what @Pigeonman is saying, knowing you my friend, he’s like, “where the heck is he? Hasn’t answered yet!? Something must be wrong… well!”

I know, he was busy in the kitchen, with coffee and blunts! Or tokes?

I ain’t complaining, good timing on your part!! LOL! :joy: :flushed: :upside_down_face:

in over 20 yrs doing it… good enough for me! it’ll be my next too!

Now, any more questions or complaints? If so, just go our complaint department ran by ‘Hellen Whaite’… :sunglasses: :+1:

I was commenting not complaining about @JohnnyPotseed 's timing. I was enjoying the fuck out of his calm.

As the senior tech at a film center/charity with kids wanting everything NOW NOW NOW with no regard to others needs I fully respect the “CALM THE FUCK DOWN I’LL GET TO YOU WHEN I CAN” attitude when it’s sported.

(Edit: And I took 2hours to reply! Cause I was shopping in baton Rouge humidty but it’s southern ontario…?!)

Thanks for the info Johnny I remember now its pretty much how my Dad used to germinate seeds, they were tomatoes etc. I raise my seedlings up off of the heat mat too.
I’ve got worm castings on the shopping list👍

In my opinion, the worm castings is the only way to go, especially if a lot of seeds. And for some reason, I find the ‘seedling heat mat’ is usually a touch more heat than the new babies like, so I insulate it a bit. Good move by your pops, too!

Thanks mate, I can see him looking down at what I’m growing, smiling and shaking his head😁
The heat mat thing all depends on the ambient temps it seems.

Can you say ‘global warming-climate change’? that shit up in CA is unreal! How many folks died…last week…in CANADA, of all places(!!) from the heat last week or so??? I’ve heard it was something like a couple hundred+!

I had no idea.

Yeah. The middle/northern part of our province is now on fire joining in with British Columbia and Alberta…

Thanks @JohnnyPotseed! I’ve intended to do this for quite some time and you just gave me the kick in the ass I needed.

Absolutely correct. Gotta have some insulation or the sprouts can cook.

Like I said lol I’ve been using this method for literally decades.

I know you know…just reinforcing your point…that info is for the people who don’t know better. I’ve had Sprouts literally cook and die on me and you would never guess that could happen from a seedling heat mat when you are reading the instructions, which say the mat will heat the tray 10-15 degrees above ambient room temperature. There must be hot spots in it. My house stays in the 60’s in the winter when I use them and I’ve had those plastic trays get so hot you couldn’t hold your hand on them. I’ve been germinating basically the same way as you minus the castings. They are going to be the icing on the cake right there.

Do you have temp/rh targets when they are in the dome?

the RH kinda takes care of itself inside a dome with very wet conditions… the temps, I try to keep around 80-85F
