Jordan of the Islands

Has anyone grown out JOTI’s Black Candyland?

Also, has anyone ordered the “Jordan’s Mix”?

Ordered 1 baby pack.
Still waiting for the JOTI train to deliver.

Is the baby pack the 12 seed pack? Do you have any idea what it contains, or are you just a gamblin’ man?!

I think his mix pack is exactly that, a mix of his favorites. If it didnt take so long to get his gear, id honestly have probably 50% of it by now cause I love the stuff he produces. Still waiting on Jordan to get payment, hopefully he gets it soon, going on a month tomorrow .

Yes, a 12pack. Had some extra bitcoin cash burning a hole in my electronic wallet.

I’ll post up the mix when I get it.

That would be great, @GramTorino - I’d love to see what it contains. Based on what @BDGrows said, it sounds like it might take a while to get it.

@BDGrows, did you use a tracking number on your payment? Where are you?

Well emailed him and got the order status changed to ‘Shipped’ finally last night.

Anyone in the states get their 420 order yet? I’m sure it’s gonna be another 3-4 weeks before I see it.

Still in processing! Order from 420, but I knew it could take a couple of months. At least my cash payment made it

No, I just send an envelope in the mail like I usually have (tracking international packs is like 30$). Im on the west coast so probably sometime today I am going to shoot him an email asking if hes received anything.

Hey, @GramTorino, are you a cryptocurrency expert? If so, I wouldn’t want to waste your time with my ignorant questions. However, if you’re somewhat new to it, I’m curious to know which wallet you recommend. Also, when you buy from someone in a foreign country, which Canada is for me, are you paying in their dollar? Last question - how did you acquire your Bitcoin? I want to use a prepaid Visa, but I’m not sure if I’m required to provide my actual banking info - in which case - NOPE!

@Purple-N-Hairy
Cryto-Noob here. Your questions are welcomed. All logical questions!

Prepaid, VISA. I’m skeptical, but a crpto expert may know differerent!
I set everything up with legit personal info, nothing anonymous.
That may kill it for any who want to remain anonymous!

Paying in their dollar? I paid in US dollars, so I assume they received US. I knew there was an exchange rate, but I was ok with paying US - because of the 45% discount. I need to learn about that!

For me, the most important thing was to protect my finances.
So, I setup a new, separate bank account. Checking and Savings, VISA.
I have my accounts at the same bank, easy to electronically transfer money between them, securely. (I’ve had this in place for years - use it for ebay and crap like that.)

I call it my Fun-Money-Bank-Account. I keep the balances near zero, unless I’m making a transaction.

On to bitcoin…
Used PC to start the process with Coinbase. This is where I purchased bitcoin.
https://www.coinbase.com/buy-bitcoin.
Includes getting Coinbase app on smart phone.

Then, coinbase wallet on Smart-phone. Once installed the wallet is empty. You have to transfer money in from coinbase.

Finally, I paid JOTI using Coinbase Wallet.

Hope this info helps more than it hurts!

Oh ya - One mistake I made that caused me extra work…
Using Coinbase…
Purchased Bitcoin (BTC) - when I really should have purchased Bitcoin Cash (BCH)

I had to convert the BTC into BCH. No biggie, just an FYI.

Yes, very helpful - THANK YOU!

I’ve since found that I CAN buy Bitcoin with a prepaid Visa, I just need to use the right service to do it. I’m also learning about the different fees charged for transactions, and how some services automatically bid your fee, and others let you set the fee yourself. This fee is what cryptominers use to prioritize which transactions they will include in their blockchain - which means the higher fee you pay, the quicker the transaction (usually).

Though I’m still not certain which wallet or service I’ll use, at least now I know that Coinbase is trustworthy.

Thanks again, @GramTorino!

Edit: Oops - I just read your edit. That’s EXCELLENT info to know, no matter who I chose. I would not have known to do that!! :raised_hands:

That’s great info, and good to know there are options.
I’ll post here if I learn anything of value in my research.

Doh. lol Where’s my exotic Bird seed?
My orders are still, “Processing”. No worries, I’m shutdown til fall.

Only thing I can add to this is:

Buying on coinbase can sometimes be a 7 day wait before you get your coins so plan ahead accordingly.

NEVER keep any crypto on an exchange that you aren’t fine with losing. It’s happened to almost every exchange at some point. So in this case, don’t leave any crypto you care about on coinbase itself, transfer it to your coinbase wallet or whatever other wallet you use.

Thanks, @HolyAngel.

From what I’ve gathered, anyone who buys seeds from JOTI will be sorely disappointed if they’re in any sort of hurry. It’s literally taking a month or more to ship :grimacing:

That’s a must know. Thank you.
Now I understand another advantage of the “wallet”.

Just clipped off 2 buds. Should be dry in 7/8 days when the plants are fully ready to harvest. I get a sick joy from smoking what I’m trimming. :joy::joy:
