Jordan of the Islands

Well, while I am out of town for the week, my wife called and told me mine finally made it. But not intact, she carefully placed them in my desk. She informed me that around thirty or so beans were freely happening along the bottom of the envelope. Which sux majorly! I ordered 5 different strains of 12 seeds per pack, so if they got mixed up talk about having to pheno hunt, DAMN DAMN DAMN.
I won’t know til Sunday how fukd my order is :rage:

That’s super sad to hear. I did that to myself when I went to open that cheap piece of plastic they came in… In this case I would want to email him and see if he’ll do anything. I didn’t for mine but only because it was my fault, not his or the mail’s, and the seeds were pretty different between the two strains that came out. If there’s more than two strains floating around in there and you haven’t even opened it yet, yeah, reship please.

Yeah I remember your situation, and your outcome was good to hear how you got it sorted out.
I seriously doubt that I’ll be able to replicate your luck at separating the strains. But I’ll remain optimistic.
To make matters worse, I accidentally divulged how much I actually paid for my order to my wife, lucky me I’m half way across the country…hahaha

I did the same thing with like 5 strains…some i can ID others…good luck!

Rename them…60 seeds mixed up! Should be exciting!

You could pop them all and do an open pollination and have a real mess…serious thou sorry about your luck man…its suck i understand! Not only did i mix the seeds up them I got hit with damping off and they started dropping like flies…I almost cried!

Things are stable now…growing well and most are ID’d now…couple Im not sure…its all good weed thou:)

Normally I would just run em, and I D them after harvest. But that’s not the plan here, I had one of the five that was going first and the others slowly moving into the lineup. Now I have to phase out what I have now so I can find the one particular plant that prompted my order in the first place.
It’s just a mess. Maybe I’ll just do one at a time til I find my Godsbubba. And to complicate matters, I had a bubba cross that was enjoyable, but flowered it out already without backing up in clone form. Same with my northern lights cross.
@bandit306 you are right tho, it’s all good weed… Just have to settle for what I pop.

You may be impressed with what you find…I was!

The Malwia i got seems to be a great plant now the big test hows it smoke…so far things are going well with it. My NL takes forever to root…I was gonna use it for SOG but it roots like shit and the Malawia takes forever to ripen…I think i need a NL malwia cross in the future

Still out of stock I am afraid …

Well still waiting. Said he would resend and email me when it shipped. Had to ask again if it shipped. I’m beginning to think this guy is a dammed flake and I’ve been robbed. I would ask for a refund but I had someone else do a bank transfer for me so it looks like I’m out my money and get nothing in return. Glad it was a cheap lesson. Never again

I think you’ll still get them , hang in there : )

Why are so many of these breeders like this? Imagine having what is basically a license to print money like that, they probably make $2-5,000 a plant. I would be sending those seeds out as quickly as I could while whistling a happy rich guy tune.

I mean what does it take to package and label a seed order, two minutes? Anyone who’s not completely incompetent could easily send out 100+ orders a day…

If you’re too busy pay some kid $20 and hour and sit back to collect your cash ffs.

Stoners…

@Daytripr69, while it’s possible that you got “robbed”, it’s highly unlikely. There area a few constants in this thread:

  • JOTI has killer gear
  • JOTI has great deals
  • JOTI is s-l-o-w to fill orders

Consider this - if Jordan planned to rob you, he would have never offered to resend your order. Also, no one else in a Jordan of the Islands thread has made the claim as you have.

You’re probably justified calling him a flake. Maybe he is. Perhaps he enjoys his gear when he should be filling his orders (if he hasn’t mastered doing both simultaneously). But my guess is that he might just be a bit greedy, or perhaps just very paranoid, and not willing to pay for helpers.

It costs nothing to be patient…

Corona is slowing shit down the amount of parcels the post is delivering is through the roof thanks to Amazon…it seems all out of country stuff is being put on the back burner hell we have been waiting 2 months for the serious testers… could’ve sailed a ship there by now lol

I ordered on 4/20 with the money order option. Then discovered no money orders to Canada anymore. A great friend from here offered their service with a transfer and then nothing. Emailed Jordan to see about order and he said I would get an email the next day when he shipped and again nothing. All and all, my order (southern US) took almost 2 months to receive. They came and so did I and now I in can’t wait to crack them. They will arrive.

He’s not trying to fuck around…shipping to the USA isn’t the easiest thing…, especially sending illegal beans. Thank Trump

FWIW…

So I have personal experience with sending and receiving envelopes and packages to and from Canada over the past month or so. My results are superior to what we’re seeing from Jordan. As much as we want to blame COVID for the delays, and COVID has slowed things down quite a bit, it doesn’t excuse Jordan’s sloth-like speed.

I sent a regular envelope to a fellow OG member and it took less than 2 weeks to arrive.

I purchased 2 Harley fenders and 2 Harley tanks from someone in Canada. Each part was shipped in separate boxes. Three of those boxes were shipped on June 3 and arrived at my post office on June 18th. One of those boxes was shipped on June 9th and arrived on June 19th.

That envelope should have taken a few days, and those boxes should have taken about 5 days. So COVID did slow them down, but by days, not weeks or months.

I know at least one person in this thread has tried to direct Jordan to this thread, but if he’s read it, he did it as a lurker and hasn’t engaged. The truth is, I doubt that there’s much he can say, other than, yeah, he’s slow to process orders.

In summary, as much as we might not like how Jordan handles most of our orders, and as much as we might complain about it, in the words of some wise man (or woman!) somewhere…

“IT IS WHAT IT IS”

I could care less how good his gear is. When someone orders it wouldn’t take a week to get a reply to an email. If I get them great if not lesson learned and I’ll never order from him again. Hell I’ve shipped stuff to Canada after my order was supposedly shipped and they made it just fine and within a few days. It’s been over 5 damn weeks

How does that affect the amount of time it takes to count out a few seeds and put them in an envelope? Is he walking them across the border himself or something?
