It was also the hardest one in my garden to grow for me, hardest to clone, slowest to grow. I read somewhere that they don’t like cold feet I’m sure you’ll kill it! ( in a good way) It always cracks me up when I read back my texts how many different ways they can be taken
with the Instagram war between archive seeds and inhouse genetics over slurricane breeding, just a matter of time before someone splooges seed everywhere.
@rootfarmer can you tell more or where to read more about this. I was curious but could not find any feuding info
You think there’ll be a bit of a price war?
A. Buy my slurricane for $80 a pack.
B. No, no, buy MY slurricane for $70 a pack!
A. Dont buy his, mine are on sale right now for $60 a pack!
B. Wait, I have a flash sale for $50 a pack!
this is like 18 months ago now - but RIU has some threads on it - like post 1885

some people care about the drama ad some don’t - interesting when all the genetics started somewhere before them anyhow - hope shit never goes like the Monsanto monopoly - they sell seeds to farmers and then ban them from planting the seed the following year to ensure their income each year…
The war between afghanistan and India started because they both said they came up with the Kush line…meanwhile it grew wild in the kush mountains between the two.
The above scenario isn’t a real conflict…but dammit do people blow shit up just to say, I did such and such first.
Hey @Gaz29 and @HolyAngel, I actually started 5 seeds a bit back, thus the link, and life shit happened and the seeds dried out cuz I wasnt here. I have JUST popped 5 more and got 3 up and at 'em…
I got them running with some other genetics acquired from this site and its members AWESOMENESS. If you would like, Id be happy to tag you in the journal I will be starting as these little girls () get bigger. Let me know!
Its GREAT to hear another MONSANTO criticism because IMO, they are the epitome of the levels to which corporations will go to ensure a profit margin that pleases them. I am continually APPALLED by this company and how they enslave the farming community not just with HORRIBLY defective products that are NOT safe for us to consume, but they patent them and then flood areas with these GLYPHOSATE resistant seeds that go everywhere, BTW, and all this so them and Dow Chemical can sell that POISON that is now a NONE HUMAN CARCINOGEN! Ugh! Sorry, didnt mean to rant! But my name IS rand! Hehe
Edit: i could be wrong about any collusion between Dow and Monsanto. I personally dont think that fact matters. Whether they are competing to kill us and the world or cooperative, the end result is the same.
Hey, sorry for interrupting your convo! I saw a post and replied and I SHOULD have read the thread and made sure nobody was in the middle of talking…MY BAD! no offense meant!
Yea i grew some dillweed this year and first time in my life it never went to seed 1😤 fuxing monsanto
Last one I’ll put up, but read some of this…
According to Holmes, a secretive company called BioTech Institute LLC had begun registering patents on the cannabis plant. Three have already been granted, and several more are in the pipeline, both in the U.S. and internationally. And these are not narrow patents on individual strains like Sour Diesel. These are utility patents, the strongest intellectual-property protection available for crops. Utility patents are so strict that almost everyone who comes in contact with the plant could be hit with a licensing fee: growers and shops…

Dutch treat has been curing for a month or 2 now. Smell is really coming out. Smells like skunk mixed with a fresh bread kinda smell…kind of like if a skunk sprayed a bakery…lol
.
Does any one know if joti Shiva skunk is the old school shiva.?
Tappy
To get a patent these have to be genetically modified don’t they…? Not just random breeding…
hey hey @Mongobongo how goes it friend? How did she finish growing for ya?
If its the Hawaiian from BC (quite likely) its centered around about an 11 week flower cycle, will likely outgrow anything but Hazes and other pure sativas. She’ll reach for the moon, but she’ll take u with her.
To this day I miss the Federation Seeds Co’s Hawaiian x Cotton Candy. Scrumptious Hazy flavor intermingled with a a hint of menthol + something else from the Hawaiian parantage.
In my limited growing of it, its 1 pheno Id have back even w/the long flowering/leggy phenos, as my CC x Hawaiian produced superb meds.
Tho our stuff are different @Mongobongo , I suspect the Hawaiian half is related thru BC Hawaiian genetics. With proper headroom and/or training techs the BC Hawaiian is a gorgeous plant all should try once if you have the space and patience. Hybridized Hawaiian brings down flower time, pure Hawaiian brings a Vicks-like menthol smell n taste. I def miss my Haw x Cotton Candy from Fed.
cheers
Can’t remember which breeder did it but one of them sold the whole lot at a seed bank for $50 a pack.
It had to do with some drama B.S, I ran away as fast as I could. Don’t care for the gossip drama B.S!
This was about a year ago…
COVID is fooking everything mail-wide.I just got beans shipped outta Cali to Canada, 28 days!!
a very generous gifter shipped a clone from a 5 hr drive away from me on a Monday, “guaranteed” be here by Wed, shows up following Monday. He paid premium for this NOT to happen.
So yea.
Customs will sit on it and fook w/ it, and so will mail carriers too.
Quickest way to tell they slow walkn yer shit is to check tracking daily. if progress isnt made daily, its stalled and is sitting in some warehouse (a.k.a/ they dont scan it) upto/over 2 days (in Canada at least)which means you will get 0 info on it till it moves again to a diff warehouse will it will be scanned and reappear. Its a dirty little game.Esp. since COVID.
Just a heads up.
I worked years in overnite courier. if it disappears off tracing for 24+hrs, they dont want it found!
Well I’m tapped, so I’ll be over in a jiffy to get that mess outta yer way!
