Week 6 update.
Buds are filling in nicely and starting to put on some frostyness.
I gave the last top dress to the 4 new ones that are 2 weeks behind the others. The slurty3 was put in really really small so its still small and getting dwarfed by everything else. So its not doing so great. But the other three are really looking nice.
I figure another 3-4 weeks on most of the roomand another 5-6 weeks for the 4 new ones.
And now for the pics.
Tent shots.
Buds
And some pics of the new ones
Absolutely beautiful. Is this how they look in person?
@Smooth Thanks!!
Yes, some pics dont even do them justice…lol
It would be almost impossible to only pick one. Stunning.
Took these pics at around week 8.
Things are looking good. Started choping down some branches gere and there. Mostly ones that are flopping over.
Great pics mate, nice grow! Which is the biggest producer? That superboof looks chunky
@StevieB Thanks!!
Definitely the superboof looks like its going to be a beast!! Really chunky frosty buds
What’s up JustBlazin? I just found this thread so I’m still in the beginning, but do you add Drip Clean or anything to your reservoir or always just plain water?
@PadawanWarrior I dont add anything to my water. I run dry amendments and dont want to mess with the microbes, so i dont use drip clean. I wish i could cause they get gunked up from my tap and dehumidifier water
Thanks. How do you clean the lines when they get clogged? And how often does it happen? I’m about to start messing with Blumats too. I’ve been doing the no-till thing. Organics and top dressing. I am about to harvest my first coco plant though.
I don’t think the Drip Clean would really hurt the microbes but I can’t say for absolute certainty. It’s just phosphoric acid and potassium oxide. I’ve heard conflicting information on the microbes thing. And it doesn’t make sense to me that it would kill them unless you used more than you’re supposed to. I’m no scientist though and would hate to mess up my soil.
By the way your plants look beautiful.
@PadawanWarrior Sorry didn’t notice this reply.
I soak the lines in vinegar after a couple rounds. They clog a couple times a grow but i use alot of dehumidifier water, so they clog more than they would with all tap water. I also use the filters coming out of my res. I usually clean them every couple of weeks if i remember. If i forget then i end up with a big clog that is more of a pain to deal with.
I might try drip clean and see, but i dont really want to risk a crop.
House and gardens drip clean works good been running for a while no problems in lines
No worries. I miss stuff all the time here. I haven’t figured out how these notifications actually work. Thanks for the info. I didn’t even know about the filters so thanks for that too.
Just a thought, citric acid would probably work to clean the lines too and it might be cheaper than the vinegar. Not that vinegar is expensive though.
I set up some Blumat Classics a week ago so we’ll see how that goes. It has GH Trio, a tiny phosphoric acid for pH adjust, and then it gets the Drip Clean. I’m gonna setup some Tropf’s too but I might wait till I get back from vacation in a few weeks. I haven’t decided yet.
Just for fun I bought some wicking rope for $5 off Amazon a couple month ago. It’s been working surprisingly well so far. I was just trying to find ways to keep my strains alive while I’m gone. I’m not losing my GG4 or Arctic Cookies strains.
Update on the 4 new ones.
Took them all down except Curacao. It still had a bunch of white hairs and I don’t see any amber yet.
First up Slurty3
She was super small but it turned out pretty nice. Dense purple buds, pretty frosty. Stayed short and not to stretchy. But this is just from a very small clone. Could grow a bit different with longer veg.
Curacao
Medium stretch, node spacing is pretty good, not huge buds but they arent to spaced to far apart either. buds aren’t super dense but still need some support. Seems to like to foxtail near the end but it’s also pretty hot in the tent so that might have something to do with the foxtailing, but it’s only one doing it so…
Terps are kind of like and orange rind to me so far.
Superboof
This thing is a beast!!
Grows really good, Medium stretch maybe a little over medium. Good node spacing, buds will connect to form good size colas. My plants are always small but even still this thing threw out a fat cola. Super frosty with some really nice purpling. Buds need support in late flower. Looks like it should yield pretty good. I don’t think it’s super dense but it’s not fluffy either.
Has a very unique smell i can’t really put my finger on, smell is fairly pungent.
