Kashmir POK Expansion 2024

Unsure how I missed this thread.

As long as it wasn’t from Worcestershire_Farms, should be good :+1:
Gonna catch up now, thanks for the hard work!

I’d leave all the males, but how’s your situation with space and time? Taking cuttings was smart. Maybe collect pollen from the males now to use on this female and also cuttings later so you don’t have to flower the males again?

@Upstate that is some brain power move, right there!

Time is the tricky part. Because these are probably 11-12 week plants, we’re already pushing into late June. And I’m trying to shut down my whole operation for July Aug Sept this year, just because of the temps and high humidity in our neck of the woods.

This Kashmir is pretty resistant to rot, but not immune. I could see you having problems with a fully seeded plant in august. Remember you won’t need the full flowering cycle when making seeds. They take about six weeks to ripen… So maybe you could sneak it in

Once seeded you could move them outside to finish

Ditto. Unless you see anything gnarly, keep as much of the gene pool as you can.

Ok. The Kashmir POK plants are stretching! And the boys are getting ready to go sooner than I expected.

The one female is developing rather thin leaves (she’s in the front left)

They look really great. Can’t wait to see more, they all have their appeals. You’re on good track for a good seed run :+1:

Started sneezing as soon as I opened the tent this morning. Pollen is flying.

This seed run is all about spreading the genetics to the community as much as possible. So no plant is being omitted.

But for future tailoring/tweaking/selection… I’ve already tossed the clone for plant number 2 (male in the back left corner) his pollen clusters are not real thick and full. The other 2 males are much nicer specimens.

(Yes, I also moved the black wire out of the way after this photo. I had to raise the light way up because 2 males had stretched up and were touching it)

This morning, I stuck one of my Original Haze x Original Neville Haze clones (it’s one of my all time favorite plants) into the tent with the Kashmir boys. I figured that might be a fun cross to have around. :star_struck::partying_face:

Now you’re getting me too excited :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

These males are very serious about their job!
I keep trimming them back as they hit the lights, but they keep throwing up more giant clusters of pollen sacs :partying_face::partying_face:

Damn, what a male! With all that surface area, I bet he’s a stinker.

Are you collecting any extra pollen?
Lookin good!

I am going to attempt to collect and dry a bunch of polled this week. If it goes well, I may have some to send out to folks :crossed_fingers:

Hey @firehead thanks for doing another round of these. This thread also reminded me to dispose of the old version (never left the pack) and that I had not catalogued and fridged the Kashmir seeds from @G-paS so this was already very helpful

Sorry to see only one female but thanks for keeping all males around for maximum diversity.
Good luck with the rest of the grow :seedling:

Why would you discard?

Because there was some viroid risk in the old version that I got from @firehead if I understood correctly.

(I did not throw away yours @G-paS!)
