Katsu Bluebird Genetics

I hear so many things about that dracarys, all good, I think I might need to try a cross or something. Your flowers are stunning.

This was the Bubba’s Breath (OGKB 2.0 x Pre98) right near the finish line out on my back deck last fall. It’s quite tasty- has that grape candy and spicy hash combo I like. Potent, relaxing stone. A bit of a motivation killer if you burn one in the afternoon though.

Did a couple the year before, but I did a better job on the second go round. Very consistent plants.

Dude, nice bushes. I should try buckets some time. Been keeping plants small for my small winter space so I forget what these plants will do in the right hands. Nice work!

Thanks for the hat tip! I guess that’s what quality seeds will do in a rdwc. Roots gone wild! For now it’s autoflowers in living soil sips and I’m seeing similar growth. I try to grow em big so as to not run afoul of state plant count laws.

Is anyone holding onto some Airwolf by chance? I started growing it then had to shut down when they were in early veg and that stuff reeked from the minute they broke soil. It still bothers me not knowing how they turned out.

Blue nips - not my favorite name but I like the cross - NY blueberry sativa pheno x hotcakes. Top them this week probably, going to bush them up :muscle:

Katsu dropped ak47 f3s at 100$ a pack… made from joey weeds f2s -which are still available for 50$ a pack

This, combined with his recent use of sunshine frauds seeds Co “skunks” makes me think katsu went agent Smith a while ago eh

Blue nips update, all 4 into flower now. 1 very bushy, another kind of bushy, and then the other two both stretching a bit. Quite vigorous!

Right between 4 and 5 weeks flower now. The smallest, bushiest one has very strong, sweet blueberry coming from it.

I’ve thought that from the start. He built up his entire Instagram presence by reposting random weed pictures he found online. Noobs thought they were his actual pics, then when he hit 10 or 20 thousand followers he started selling seeds lol. Disingenuous to say the least imo.

Say what now? Totally in the dark and glad I seen this post as I was about to pull trigger on some packs. What is the deal with Katsu?

He just did the same thing with Blueberry F3. He didn’t mention that until the bottom of this wall of text.

Isn’t this what businesses do? Find something cheaper at rather unknown source and resell higher to masses? Instead of spreading knowledge he is hoarding knowledge. “old joey weed f2s” like maybe they don’t even exist anymore. Hemp depot is rather obscure and they only accept cash and it has to go through customs so one could argue the convenience.

I haven’t been on in 10 days… I’m only responding to you because hey I kinda like ya haha.

While I agree that consumers goods are a rats race, ie a pencil is a pencil is a pencil. Why pay 4$ per when you can get it for 0.04$ per… that said… high quality hand crafted or custom cut to piece items will always command higher tarifs… unless…

Problem with genetics is the higher quality your products… the easier it is to knock off…

At one point I wanted to have a little side thing being a breeder…as much as I hate hoarders… holy shit do I not care about releasing lines… they’d be knocked off within one season…

To the point of hemp depot being obscure… welll I’m canadian myself so it’s top 5 or 3 local bank

To leave on a good note… lemme say this… HD is

Thanks for the (mostly) kind words. The JoeyWeed genetics are more than 20 years old. I don’t know what Joey uses now, but the old shit kicked some serious ass. Not exactly sure what all the hate is about - I think the JoeyWeed packs I used for this project cost me $20 at the time. Are you upset at my price point or that I remade genetics that someone else remade? I don’t see how you can knock off a knock off. In any event, I’m glad that for the most part everyone seems to be enjoying their gear. I’ve been trying to reproduce as many of the old classics I’ve been able to get my hands on and introduce them to a new generation of growers. Additionally, I’ve been trying to make a lot of new hybrids (and remake old hybrids) using some of these older genetics you don’t see around as much. For the most part I try to stay in my own lane and do my own thing. I breed first and foremost for potency and effects - for me that means potency from an actual smoke test as opposed to a lab test (I find them highly suspect).

I don’t have time to check into all of the forums as much as I used to as the wife and I do everything ourselves so if you need to get a hold of me email is best.

Parting thoughts - try to keep it positive, folks. There’s an abundance of negativity online and, sadly, in the cannabis community. I would encourage all of you to focus on the positives (and there are many) and leave the negativity to the trolls. Your own light never shines brighter when you try to cast darkness on others. Peace, KB
