My current favorite are Mars FC Evo line for larger bar style flower lights, and Spider Farmer SF1000d for budget 100w veg lights.

I picked up a viparspectra after hearing from so many people how great they are, and that sucker could fry an egg. Steer clear of those!

Works like a charm for me!!! Ill post some pics in an hour or so when the lights come on!

Coincidentally the mars hydro 1000 fits perfectly between the light bar gaps on the vipar spectra ks5000

Ideally ld like to have 6 of them for full even coverage in the gaps between the light bars but ill have to run 2 6inch exhaust fans to remove excess heat…buuttt 4 is plenty without being too hot for 1 exhaust fan to handle.

IMHO: gives the best rounded spectrum as far as red/blue & white/yellow & IR

I’m glad it’s not just mine. I got a Viparspectra P2000, the upgraded version that’s 250w. The driver is almost too hot to hold my hand on even with a fan running on it constantly. I swear it’s a 200w light that they just removed the plastic stopper in the dimmer knob so it goes to 125%. If you’re into Calmag deficient looking plants and potential house fires, it’s a winner.

Va-China screws us again with cheap crap marketed as “the next game changer”
Maybe if HID could be controlled by an app on yer phone it’d still be in favor? Pffft.

Anybody wanna buy some used panels

I wouldn’t trust an app to control my timers if they paid me to do it. I have yet to find anything aside from the old school dial timers that don’t glitch out and herm your entire grow. The digi timers can fail to fire if you don’t “charge” them long enough before you set them, and I’ve had apps that don’t understand daylight savings, reset schedules after updates, need bluetooth or wifi 24/7 to fire on time… it’s a hot mess with those things. I gave all of mine away and replaced them with old school pin and dial timers. Sure, they don’t have battery backup for power failures…but at least I know it, so it’s my fault if I forget not a faulty timer.
