Hello!
What are some budget light options for me? My tent is 180x170cm
I have been looking at these lights:
LUMii Black LED fixture 720 W LUMii Black LED fixture 720 W with LUMii Black ballast | led-grower.eu
And the
spider farmer se7000
Spider Farmer SE7000 730W Vollspektrum LED Grow Lampe
The spider farmer is waay more expensive,
What Im wondering is what you would recommend im the 750w up to 600€ price range.
And if the lumii ones are even close to okay?
Also how many plants i could grow under 750w.
Thank you!
What about four small lights in sequence?
Might be cheaper that way.
Check out the ViparSpectra XS1500pro.
I think they’re 150w each. And over the last year or two, I’ve seen their price fluctuate between $50 & 100USD.
Worth looking into this route, idk?
Best of luck friend!
I think the first fixture is cheaper because the LED driver (referenced as an electronic ballast) is sold separately… You want to verify that before purchasing.
Cheers

I have a spider farmer 500 I think it is. Seems to work pretty good for what it is, I don’t think my plants were ever hurting for light.
Think the driver is built into the frame on the first one. Might not be great for an enclosed area, such as a tent, where you need to limit heat or what-not.
I run mars hydro fc-3000 and love them.i have two tents and each uses the fc-3000. You can mount your power supply in or out of the tent which is great for heat related needs/issues. I have never put them above 70% and the plants love them. I buy direct from Mars Hydro usually since they often run discounts better than Amazon. Black Friday or Cyber Monday is the best time to get grow gear.
I agree with you, I have the xs3000 pro , I decided on that panel after seeing the excellent reviews it has on the migro led youtube channel, I like that the driver cable is long and to be able to hang it outside my grow tent
Yeah they heat up that will hower come in handy when it winter.
Il check out your suggestion tho!
Might want to look more closely at the diodes, that is where the rubber meets the road. Samsung LM301 Evo is the new hotness. 301h or 301b are still fantastic. Samsung 288 are econo diodes, which will grow econo weed.
Better to get a 2 or 3 year old fixture with LM301b diodes than Billy Joe Bob’s unknown diodes.
Remember, light is the plant’s food, and they are what they eat. Skimping on diode quality will produce a lower quality end result.
Pretty much any reputable name will get you where you need to be. There are advantages and disadvantages to each but they will all work fine.
Best of luck.
Hello!
I decided I will buy the NEW Mars Hydro FC 1500-EVO.
Im gonna buy 4x of them and spread them in my 5.5"x5.5" tent.
I was wondering if anyone has these and how you set them up? Mainly what % dimm you have in diffrent stages and how far from the plants you hang them!
And if there is any other recommendations im glad to listen!
I’d recommend a way to measure the output in ppfd. I use Photone on my phone and it works pretty well. The app does use a subscription model and you do need to use an adapter (Or use paper, but I wasn’t a fan) but it is pretty accurate from what I’ve seen. Really helpful if you end up using other brand lights and you can target DLI more accurately.
Did see this from them - Not sure if you saw or not.
I use 4 mars hydro 1000 and it works great
How many plants for coul i jam 12 plants under 4 lights?
I cram sixteen autos under three lights totalling 400w! Yeah, I could do better, lol.
But it works.
Thats insane
Hi! Just so you know I ended up going with your suggestion and got myself 4x marshydro lights! The 150w ts.
Cool beans.
Ya know the other advantage is, you can have multiple canopy heights.
Id vote for 2x 315w CMH, or 1x double bulb cmh 630w
Good spectrum, 10k hours lifspan on bulbs and cheap.
Htgsupply.com has a dimmable remote ballast 315 with reflector for like 40 bucks.
Get real phillips bulbs and you will be laughing all the way to harvest.
(And i dont wanna hear about heat managment, if OP was already concidering a 700w+LED)
