Hi, Jetdro

Mars Hydro Pro II Cree is Mars best light, actual power is 570W, the chip is Cree, it can cover 4.54.5 for veg,44 for flower. If you use HPS/MH/HID:700W before, and want to try to try another light, Mars Hydro Pro II Cree 256 is a great option here:wink:

I never said you weren’t good, I just said there’s better. Of course your lights will grow weed, but so will a window sill…
For your youtube, I don’t see anywhere, where you test out your gear or even do any grows for that matter. I may be wrong but all I see is you sponcering already established growers. Why not sponcer or send testers to some rookies and let them grow with your lights?

I operate cranes and have watched people die because of Chinese lifting gear, which is why its illegal to use here period. I’m sure not every Chinese company is shit, but first hand experience says most are. Note that some Chinese electronics are pretty damn good so I’d be willing to try you out. Just a question i need to replace a 1000w hps light can be no bigger than 3’x3. What do you have? I noticed that there was a post about a Canada sale for 15% off, what about doing something like this for the us folk. Or offer og members a little more than 3%. The expense is what is keeping me from going led

The thing about these Chinese companies is they “clone”" Copy" absolutely everything but use sub standard parts and components. One of my other “hobbies” Used to be card sharing satellite and cable encryptions. I’d buy “clone” dreambox 500c in bulk and pass them around all my friends and to be fair I never had one fail on me via hardware. I still to this day run a VU+ solo2 clone satellite STB from china. It’s been running non stop for about 6 years now and it’s still works as good as the day I bought it. My only complaint is the advertising methods these Chinese grow light companies use. There is not a chance in hell these Chinese LED lights will ever be comparable to a decent 600 hps set up or give you the same amount of yield. I’ve been there and done it (not using Mars Hydro lights though to be honest).

The “newer” models look intriguing and the vendor supplied specs looks decent, so let see how these perform. I’ve purchased an SP250 for evaluation and will run some tests on this unit using a spectrometer, PAR sensor, and various other instrumentation for comparison purposes.

Items Ordered
Product Name Price Qty Subtotal
Subtotal US$259.99
Shipping & Handling US$0.00
Discount (OVERGROW) -US$7.80
Grand Total US$252.19

I will say that I’m not a big fan a shabby products, even if the pricing appears competitive, which in the past, has had me purchasing elsewhere. Although these new units, from what is advertised, appear intriguing and I am optimistic. So, let’s see how these stack up both from an output perspective along with the fit and finish.

The following is what I have captured for comparison purposes.

For reference - specification:
Draw power 120V:1.93A;232W 240V:1.01A;242W
Chip Brand New SMD Epistar

For reference - marketing:
Actual Power: 245W+/-5%@100–277V
Coverage: Veg:3’x5’(90x150cm); Bloom:2’x4’(60x120cm)
PPE:2.35–2.57umol/J (marketing images claims a different PPE of "around 2.7")
IP65 rated (Totally protected against dust ingress. Protected against low pressure water jets from any direction. Limited ingress permitted.).
Three year warranty.

I do not see any information on this particular product regarding the certification authority. Though I’ve seen claims elsewhere that “all” of their products are ETL and CE certified / listed. Would be good to get this verified.

I will post up resulting measurements and impressions in a future thread once the item is received…
