Not holding my breath

I’ve got a Meizhi 300r which had a pretty noisy fan.
I bought a Noctua fan and replaced it with the stock fan. It runs practically silent now.
You should try it yourself if the noise is an issue.

What strain is that plant?

Nearly everything is “made in China”

My meizhi 600 the fans are not that loud but I don’t really care much about stealth other than smell.
Replacing the fan is a good move. Install a brushless fan and there shouldn’t be any noise other than air movement :+1:

Good idea… Noctuas are the best! I use them all the time for cooling computer cases and creating ultra silent PCs.

Ever since I took my PlayStation apart and couldn’t get it back together I resisted the urge to take things apart that I can’t afford to replace.
Not my forte I’ll stick to the growing side of things :smirk:

The lights are very easy to take apart and modify.

Did you not look up how to take your playstation apart before hand like?

The first day I got mine, I was having a few beers and managed to spill one all over my new baby.:sweat_smile:. I was gutted… I quickly looked up how to take it apart and dried it off. (There was an actual puddle of beer inside). It’s still working to this day.

I love taking stuff apart and seeing how things work it’s quite interesting.

What light would you suggest for half of a 1.5m X 1.5m ( that’s very close to 5ft x5ft for U.S. members).
I currently run a 1200 mehzi and a 192 mars reflector.
The mars reflector has no problems in this set up although on paper it hasn’t got the coverage.
I put it the side the fans live so could be why it copes.
Don’t you do trade ins? Cause I’ve got a mars 2 400 that lays idle.
I went back to the 192 although I prefer the 400. I couldn’t afford to buy another 400 to get the right coverage.
You can have your 300w 5w diode model back for nothing won’t use that again very uneconomical zaps my electricity. Thought I got a bargain £60 but costs too much to run for coverage.
I won’t buy anything this side of Christmas.
But I have to run super stealth these days which entails me getting into tent zipping up and working in tight spaces, the mehzi still has some purple but it’s very hard to work under the purple of the 192 mars.
Also when I was switching to led’s wasn’t expecting as much heat.
I’ve been happy with led’s but I’ve got some lying idle and with the cost of them it pisses me off sometimes.
I know I’m not running optimal for my space and have more than once thought what would happen if I just whacked a 600w hps in there?
See I’ve got overkill on watts but I’m tinkering and will accept it to be better than underkill.
Don’t want spend 9 weeks growing fluff. I’m happy with led’s but just haven’t found sweet spot yet.
Thing is spent too to wipe board clean

Yes I love taking things apart it’s the putting back together I struggle with. I only had limited internet then. And even poorer tech savvy. I like working with my hands on more physical jobs, I’ve had I-phone for years but only learned how to cut and paste and screenshot couple months ago

Mars STL 2000. If I had the money it would be an route. I’ll get some QB’s when I can. Your lights speak for themselves. Have a good one.

@Zoey I have a “2000w” model bestva. I know let’s not discuss the draw output. Send a comparable unit for a side by side. I’ll put 600w $200 hid next to a “comparable” Mars model. Totally unbiased same soil strain everything.

I get it though y’all got money. I love leds. They’re amazing. Gotta run QB’s lol. What’s messing with them really? For a hobbyist with almost 2 grand to blow on a light. You guys got a following. I’m rambling. Dip in them fat wallets and throw some bros and sis’ some “top notch” stuff.

Welcome to OG Mars!

The light I’ve been looking into most is this one.

My SIL setup does the job, I guess  https://www.mars-hydro.com/hpcall/new-arrivel-hp/mars-tsw-2000-led-full-spectrum-hydroponic-led-grow-light

But a quantum board to finish this grow would be a high priority to invest in.

I can’t see EU in the shipping list, why is that @Zoey ?

Mate these are not quantum boards. It’s misleading advertising. I’m not saying the lights won’t grow but as they deliberately mislead people with the provided information I suggest you give them a swerve :+1:

And this I’d love to see

Hi, Esrgood4u,

May I know what do you define quantum boards?

Quantum Board is a large circuit board that has hundreds of mid-power LEDs mounted to it. The LEDs are connected together in series to form strings, and these strings are then combined in parallel configurations to make them compatible with common high-powered constant current drivers like Mars TS and Mars SP.

That’s actually a dumb bit of info. How can you guarantee how wellsomebody grows.
