Looking for North American regional IBLs

I’m gonna have to research that a bit before I can give you a proper reply to that question. I wasn’t aware that Katsu did any work with Magnum Opus but I don’t follow him regularly.

From my understanding, Magnum Opus was a release by Aficionado Mendocino in 2017 or 2018 ? It was thier next step in breeding with the Long Valley Royal Kush. The seeds were some ridiculous price like 700 bucks USD. and were debuted at the Emerald Cup.
Long Valley Royal Kush was F10 I believe. I don’t immediately recollect what steps Aficionado made between LVRK and the creation of Magnum Opus. How Katsu came into the equation is something I have to research as well.

I could be wrong, but I thought Magnum Opus was a royal kush F9? I have a few different royal kush crosses, they are all pretty nice.

Magnum Opus was created using the the “Long Valley Reserve” lines which were hand picked 10th generation isolations from Long Valley Royal Kush then crossed with Mandelbrot’s original Royal F1 clone.
*at least that is how I understand it anyways
I hold the F9 and F10 gens of Long Valley Royal in my breeding program. Some are from Emerald mountain and the other from the emeral cup release.

Hey man what’s the AC in the big bud cross??? Has it just been around so long that it’s just AC bud? I can respect that

Any answers come up about how and when Katsu got the F10 and made an f11 selection?? I hadn’t actually looked at the line much myself and just jumped at the chance to get such a heavily worked line into my vault

Unfortunately theres no one alive that I’ve met knows exactly what the AC is.

From The Flyin HaWyn who I believe is Bruddah HH?:

From Da Hui:

“Hey everybody:
Thought I’d pop in here with some comments regarding the Frost, elites and the overall status of genetics, that we (DA HUI) currently possess.

Bruddah HighHawyn! originally acquired beans from a multi-generational growing family on Molokai several years back, grew them out, acquired one pheno he really liked (and still has to this day in clone form), as well made beans from the original. There are several bean “batches” floating around, some more stable than others. The Frost name was created by HH - it is NOT what the family possessing the original strain on Molokai calls it. Regarding stability of the beans, as with any tropical sativa you have a wide range of phenotypic expressions, some more hermie prone than others. Please refer to soul_retriever’s “The Molokai Frost Project” thread in Planet Ganja for prolly the most extensive and analytic grow logging done to date on the Frost. As a “full circle” aside, I have 3 keikis right now in veg of soul’s “sat pheno” beans in a trial run to ascertain vigor, bud quality and lack of hermies.”

@Sodapop I think this is the same person posting as Da Hui talking about some other Hawaiian genetics too:

Here is an update to our small town old timer Hippy Farmer. It has just been released from family and friends that his mason jar of seeds contains the seeds from all of his plants covering his decades of growing… This jar contains seeds of all different stages, sizes and colors. It contains his SKUNK and the Catpiss( which I grew out a few of). Now The Quest begins for that Elusive Skunk of which his widow tells was NOT ALLOWED IN THE HOUSE. . sound familiar… I must say that I am quite excited to veg a floor full to find that dam VARMIT. im guessing it would be pretty evident by week 4 when pre–sexxing occurs. NO Skunk NO Keep. p.m. me if you’d like a chance to help find the Lost Skunk of yesteryear.
