I’m starting to hate this thread. Making me feel soooo inadequate with my photography skills…
Amazing Photos though, really love the black backgrounds on dark plants. Truly impressive imagery. And the plants / buds themselves are also amazing…

What camera do you use? and how do you get the backgrounds to black? I really don’t hate the thread, lol, I’d love to learn to take pics like those… I just feel like my pics are crayon drawings next to the mona lisa looking your yours LOL

I use a Panasonic SZ27 Lumix…on automatic setting
the background it’s just a black sheet (like velour)
i don’t touch the pics just if the buds are not center in the pic will cut one side
THE light it’s very important in nice shots
did some test whit all the light in my house
and all the corners of my house with the best light
if you have just a bit of sun on the plant it will not by nice
the sun is not a good light…the light I use it’s very old
a desk light whit 2 speed (level) and the position of the
light with your plant is important the camera have a flash
so on the side of the plant were the flash will GO
the desk light will light the dark part of the plant(side no flash)
and just a bit of light on the plant
I just see the plant it’s in the dark the camera infrared will adjust
the camera I don’t real see the plant to dark but the infrared
adjust and I see were I take the pic in the screen of the camera
you don’t need a strong light but I think it’s the old halogen light
of my desk working perfectly for my pictures
first place a plant in a dark corner
take pics at the same place and change the light
just to see the difference by twin lights
with a black background important the camera will focus
just on the plant not the background
after with the best light you do a corner check in your house
after it’s the part hard to find the angle of the light with the plant
to get a perfect shot…every time I move from a home
I have to do the corner check not the light
i will show you the light I use if you have some halogen lights
do some test…it’s hard work but if you find THE spot…BINGO

you will get some better shots and if you fine the right place
were you gat a very nice shot remember the position of your
camera, light, plant…and keep the same position

very easy I have 2 camera and it’s not my hand
seem like a hand just doing dishes all day
and maybe some cake and cookies

and I am taking the pic with a ZS27
and a hand NOT doing dishes and cookies

I have a surprise today by side one of the testers
of the SCDCxBB8 F2’s a baby by side the seedling
3 day by for I saw a small baby and thinking it’s a lost seed
in the soil I am sure I just but one seed there
so I don’t look more today the same thing
a baby by side a seedling so now I am sure
some seeds have 2 babys…it’s a problem or a great thing 
I will keep those babys from seedling to see if all grow nicely or not

The hunting season is coming soon but I don’t hunt
any animals some times fly’s in my house but it’s all
But I hunt for nice girls and I think I did find one
in the Mix-37 looking at 5 girls and No3 she’s nice and frosty
