Hi I’m looking for answer on making a compost tea using seabirds guano any thoughts or recipes?
1-2 tblsp/g guano, 1/4 cup worm castings, and 1tsp of molasses.
Let brew for 16-36 hours with air stone. Mix every few hours otherwise.
If looking for nutrient rich soil drench, use after 12 hours.
I’m sure YouTube has a plethora of videos on this topic if you need visuals.
Welcome to OG!
Thanks for the reply. Have you ever tried seabirds guano and kelp for a tea?
I have not used them together in the same tea but do use both.
I personally do 1/4 cup/gal kelp and let brew for 48-72 hours stirring a few times a day.
The smell!!
2-3 cups Worm castings
1 tablespoon humic acid
1 tablespoon soluable kelp
1 tablespoon fish fertilizer
Great recipe…could you tell me what concentration of humic acid and the proportion used to brew tea…??
Ha yeah man liquid organic fertilizers are some of the most pungent especially fish sh**… Used to keep them in my mudroom quickly got them out of the house way too smelly. Dogs and cats flock to them. Neptune brand good stuff but smells pretty rank
Insect frass is very smelly also
