Manifold technique question

On my second grow, I decided to try the manifold technique.
I was able to successfully keep the 8 main colas spread nicely and low.
Up to this point I have been pinching off any new growth sites and any fan leaves that get in the way.
I’m currently in Week 2 of flower and the 8 colas are starting to stretch.

Here is my question: At what point do I stop pinching new growth sites?

Thanks!

Just an opinion – Depends on strain and end goals, If long flowering 14 weeks + then keep pinchin, If an 8 weeker then let it go…

I dont have much to add, but am following since defoliating after topping and semi? Mainlining is still a struggle for me. Lol

I think.im doing better on my 3rd run, but i think i stopped pinching the ‘sucker’ branches to soon.

Have 4 main branches/colas, but many more satellite bud sites. Again… ha!

It’s Bad Girl from Twenty20.

Indoor Flower Time: 60-70 days

… so no more pinching?

totally up to u and where your pinching… your 14 days in - only 46 - 56 days left… do you only want the top buds or bud sticks? obviously under the canopy won’t produce much…

looking at the pic if it were mine i’d defoliate the center and allow the center fill in, but that’s just me…

I’ve been pinching every growth tip besides the 8 main colas.
My goal is to have only 8 giant buds.

If I stop pinching the new growth shoots will they develop into separate colas?
At what point does new growth contribute to the existing bud rather than form a new one?

if 8 tops is all your after, then continue to pinch… your in too far too worry about new tops forming

In 2 to 3 weeks, they will stop forming new sites. Hard to say because every strain is a little different. But soon those new sites will stop forming. At that point, you will have successfully stopped any new growth from continuing and no need to continue with pinching new sites. Well done you are definitely learning advanced techniques !!! Cheers !!!

You can also just cut off what you don’t want.

I do a heavy de-branching after stretch because it’s easy to see which branches are winners and which are not.
