And THAT’S why I didn’t get rid of all my livestock guardian dogs. Seven big dogs are a huge expense but we have bears and mountain lions around the area all the time now. Not to mention that nobody kills coyotes now so the packs numbers are huge! My brother saw a pack on the hill above his place that he guessed numbered in the 40’s.

We hear packs of coyotes around us all the time but have never seen one on the property. But we have seen a few bobcats here a number of times.
One was right outside our sliding glass door trying to get one of our cats until I walked over and then it was gone in a flash.

We have a broken LGD…LOL. Dunno WTF her prior owners did to her or if it’s just “her”…but I’ve never had a dog that needed so much attention until they are off leash. Then it’s “See that truck goin up the road? I’ll be back later”.
We thought she was a Golden/Pyr mix but the Golden ended up being German Shepherd. Almost a 50/50 split on the DNA test.
Lotsa critters here but fortunately. so far, no 'yotes

My nephew showed me some pics from his field camera a couple of weeks back. In a two week period he caught a huge Bobcat on the thing four nights. That camera is located just about 200’ outside of my perimeter fence. My dogs had been raising Billy hell at night and he showed me why. There’s a lot of predictors to watch out for now days. The deer and turkeys are thick too so they have plenty of prey to feed on.
