I wonder… hard water has a high rate of Mg… right? So maybe just adding calcium only would be better… because if its hard water and it’s MG making it hard water … it may be too much with cal and mag @MoBilly
But it’s just me guessing I’m a total noob… so others have to chime in on that buddy…
Another thing I’ve seen about cloning… is water temps have GOT to stay at 75 f.
Most failed clones from what I have seen and heard come from water temps too high… too low is better than too high… they die at too high… and are only slow at too low… I hope this helps you buddy
My clones have done amazingly well and my tap comes in at 320 310 ish ppm
Here’s my 1st cloning attempt brother… water temps ensured below 75 f
I’ll have to put my cloner in a different room then. The greenroom is running in the mid to upper 90’s when lights are all on and the dehumidifier is running. When the temps outside get crazy again that room will hit the low 100’s.
I’m about to decide to only grow inside in the Winter and outside in the Summer.
That’s gotta be the issue my friend… but at least you know what the issue is now … and can get er done @MoBilly
I had the same problem at 1st… 1 tent lights on … clone tent lights on … and dehuey… was making it too warm. So what I did was raised dehuey 1 notch… and started leaving clone tent open until lights off for the flower tent… then I have to shut them but that’s at 7 pm… so it didn’t matter shutting door at that time…
I also added a fan pushing ac air towards tent with clones
I keep that room sealed tighter than my Aunt Betty’s purse.
I believe clone king recommended the 75 f and they said u can get to about 80 f before issues… but past 80 issues arise and failure happens… at 75 f it all happens very very fast … the rooting… but u can allow up to 80 f
I’ll move my cloner into the living room. That’s the only air conditioned room available. My big air shelled out last year and we’re using a dinky little window unit to try and break the heat. When the temps are crazy high it just makes a dent. We have to have box fans turned on us then.
Well, I’m not doing so great tonight so I’m going to fire up some rosin/hash/Canna Cheese and go stretch out early.
