My first Hydro Setup 🌿

You can make screens that attach to the buckets. This way u can move them around

Is that what the second netting is for, to level the canopy out after stretching?

I train on first net. If I put in a second it basically to help hold them up.

copy. just wanted to be sure that the first net was what is going to set the height for the canopy.

Poor nefrella, lots of hijackers here! So, @Shaggy450r, the second net is helping the heavy buds which came after training on the first net and after stretch, right? The first net will already lock the pots on their own, thus, no more moving pots a bit after scrog is installed, correct? Apologies @nefrella! lol.

No worries! I like to learn stuff too :heart::v:

Correct, the only down fall. Once you start training she stays put. I was lucky to have just enough play in the lower trellis to peek in the dwc bucket. Lol… I way under estimated the growth rate of hydro and she out grew me. But anyways you got it!!

So when you flip to flower, you continue to weave the plant until its done stretching, right?

Yeah I should have, my colas grow into my light. If I would have trained for another week or so I would have been better off.

Oh also, I weave them and I use garden tie and lightly strap them to the wire. I leave a bit room for the stem to grow bigger.

Since we’re at it, I read on a site about the lines being 2.5" apart. Had a feeling it was a bit too tight, what would you say? And they refer to “string” being the best option. Is that the same as polyester or polypropylene? nefrella, you and I take notes! lol. Thanks.

I’ve seen people use all different stuff. I like to use garden wire as its a bit more ridged then string, nylon, ect… the top net i don’t care if its flexes.

I was wondering about this, thought about just making a pvc stand/frame and using wire. Seems like a lot of work, but at least then I control the size of the squares.

I picked up 2 of these for my first try.

Loving the hempy, definitely cutting down to 4 plants next run with the scrog. I can handle 8 gallons of water, but 24 lolol, sooooo over it. But, they’re looking good!

Stay safe friends! :heart::latin_cross::v::peace_symbol::call_me_hand:

So, I’m sitting here thinking, if I’m going to scrog, and the plants wont be moving, how do you do dwc and change out the reservoir weekly (using 5 gallon buckets)?? @SquirtleSquad @JoeCrowe

I never change them, but if something unknown were to happen and I decided to change them, I just get an empty bucket and put the plant in that, haul the old one away and refill the new one.
