Hello everybody! Here’s an update on the garden, on the 10th I turned the clock to 12/12, of the 25 plants, 11 males, 14 females remained, I hope that no hermaphrodide appears.
I transplanted the 14 females to 18 liter pots.
And last week, I received a very special gift! I want to leave a special thanks to @Budderton , with extreme kindness he sent me some beans, that I will be very happy to grow. This work, that people like you do for the plant, is very important for the strengthening of the international cannabis community. In the next crop I will germinate all then, and I hope sharing each stage of these unique and long-awaited genetics in my garden! May attitudes like yours multiply! Jah bless!
Right on @nobodyknows ! You’ve got a nice set up! Everything looks happy and healthy.
Thank you for your kind words. I hope you get many happy harvests from those beans and maybe use them to make more seeds!
Hello gardeners, around here a plant ended up becoming hermaphrodite, I didn’t notice it, and it ended up pollinating the ones that were around, unfortunately I’m going to have some unwanted seeds. But the selected clones have already taken root, and the next cycle will be better than this one. In 3 days they will be 7 weeks of flowering.
Unkind. If it was from any seed I sent you, I’d really like to know @nobodyknows .
It looks like your going to get a good harvest though, hopefully not too many seeds.
It was an event that I was to blame my friend @Budderton ! A friend gave me these 24k vs Watermellon F1 crosses, and warned me that it was an unwanted cross, but I’ve always liked to grow homemade crosses to see if I can find something good, I took the risk with these f1. The characteristics were very random, from 18 plants, discarding the males and the one that was hermated, 8 were left, of these 8 I can tell you that 2 have a good potential, I took 6 clones of these 2, but I don’t know if I will continue with the genetics. I’m very anxious to germinate your seeds, this is even one of the reasons why I’m not sad to discard these f1, I know there’s already a lot of work involved behind your seeds. Absolutely I will post and share every detail of your genetics, the next cycle will focus on them! In some plants unfortunately I will have many seeds, it would be an option to make a bubble hash of those with more seeds, what do you think? The unwanted seeds I will give to the birds hehehe… … Thank you so much for your attention again !
Yep. Seeded Herb is perfect for making hash. If fact you’ll find that most long time seed makers are also proficient in hash making. Trichome heads are a by-product of making seeds, so it works out great.
I’m glad to hear I didn’t herm on you! I asked because I have to keep track of such things in order to get the word out and to make selection decisions. Not only do I not use anything that shows troublesome inter-sex traits, but I won’t use a pheno that grows fine but one or more of its brothers or sisters herms. It’s not worth it to me.
Thanks for your insightful response and I hope you find something you like from those beans with no troublesome inter-sex traits!
Hey man just stumbled over your thread. Great greenhouse I have to second that, you got some skills. Your garden looks fantastic too, you gonna have plentyful herb to smoke and use
What’s your favorite kind of herb? Brasil is kind fo big, which latitude are you at?
Living and learning! I’ve been following forums for a long time but I didn’t know about this relationship between seed production and hash! Thanks for sharing ! I feel very lucky to have been chosen, I treat my cultivation with a lot of love and I hope to reciprocate with a lot of information, and collaborate in any way I can! Thanks again for all your attention, you have my utmost respect!
Hello friend @mndlss Thank you for your attention and words! I do everything with a lot of love and dedication, and it’s all worth it. when I get such positive comments! I am extremely grateful ! What I like most about the herb is the flavor, and the structure of the flower, I’m more of an enthusiast of cultivation and tasting than of the potency of the smoke literally. despite living where sativas predominate, my preference is for hybrids. I didn’t experience much, just more what I cultivated. One of the plants that impressed me the most was on a trip to Amsterdam where I smoked a New York Diesel, and I discovered that diesels are one of my favorites for their flavor. But the best plant I ever had in my garden was a Skunk #1. However, the illegality of my country does not allow me a scenario where there are more species for tasting, so I believe that there are things I would like more, but I don’t have easy access. Another point is that I started to treat myself with the oil, so I’m starting to arouse interest in genetics that give me a good smoke and a good medicine. I live in the center of Brazil practically, Latitude: 17° 44’ 45’’ South. In a wonderful biome called “cerrado”, with rains from November to April, high solar incidence all year round, with practically 12 hours of light in all seasons, temperatures from 13ºC to 37ºC. It’s a very good place to bloom outdoors, indoors the battle is with the high temperature. Thanks again for your presence! Jah bless my friend!
hey nobody! i definitley understand the passion for the diesel, it was one of my favorites for some years. my growbro gifted me a cut which was excelent. i made some crosses with it, the most outstanding one was with a blueberry leaning chesseberry. the cross came out smelling and tasting exactly like sage, had a huge yield and a silver-böueish appearance. of course i didn’t take cuttings because it was actually just a test grow lol i still have a decent amount of f1 and f2s of those seeds. so much to choose from, so little space
the natural conditions at your place of residence sound paradisiacal for growing our favourite plant. with the leds, good insulation and a reasonable exhaust air system, the temperature problems can be regulated quite well.
I’m going to set up a chair here and watch your plants become monsters.
Hello gardener friend! Thanks for being there first! My mouth is watering at those crosses you mentioned, it’s been 10 years since I smoked a diesel but I can still remember the taste! Do you have any record of these crosses in your diary? I would love to see some content about it ! Yes, the conditions are very good for flowering outdoors, only the political conditions are not heheh! About the LEDs I agree, they would be the most efficient solution for my cultivation, but still here for us, the good ones are all imported, and still very expensive. It’s a sure investment for the future! A curiosity, in my greenhouse, in the hottest hours of the day, it reached an average of 48ºC inside, and with good circulation the plants just loved it! In indoor cultivation, I feel they suffer from excessive heat, I can still maintain a good temperature level because I turn it on in the early evening and turn it off in the morning. Thank you for the positive words, big hug!
Hello everybody ! A garden update, with some confusion involved in species names. After some research, I found that the crosses that came to me are Valley OG, hybrid cross between OG Kush and SFV OG (San Fernando Valley OG). The name I said earlier was wrong, it came to me wrong, sorry everyone for the mistake, here are some photos with better image quality and details.
