Greg may have been there during that time but he’s as reliable as a cheap Made in China Wrench when it comes to the lines, Example… He told Matt Riot that NL#5 clone was Afghan x Colombian x Mexican, then he tells someone else it’s a Hawaiian from BOEL, then tells everyone it’s an UNKNOWN Hawaiian that he had no clue about.
Sounds like they don’t know and can’t keep there stories straight or smoked way to much hash and forgot all together. Will be interesting to see what becomes of your #2 you have going
My understanding was nl#2-11 were all NL crosses. Only the #1 was pure afghani hashplant. Maybe he means the #2-4 still had that afghani pheno, while the rest definitely differed but #2-11 were all crosses. All NL x some father.
Well that just further adds to the confusion
This is kind of a late response but in regards to the Hawaiian, there is a pure line of Kona gold that has been held in Mendocino sense the late seventies, I still have about 20 beans myself gifted to me by the original keepers daughter when he passed,( rip Lawrence ) I need to grow those out next summer and make sure to preserve the line . I’m not sure if that was the one used but it was around during the right place and time to definitely be a part of a few different things. I often wonder about this because I know it was heavily bred with and I hardly ever see it mentioned when talking about genetic origins and the pacific north west
oh man, that’s exciting. let us know if you need any help with the preservation!
@moderators maybe someone can shut down this wiki and close the thread?
this is really interesting. So, if I’m reading it right that means the plant Neville sold as NL1 is ostensibly actually NL2?
Project closed. UBCchemo, if you would ever like to open this thread contact @ teamovergrow.
Done and done.
