I thought about doing that, just to see what happens, but no i stuck with rock. Doing ok i guess, at least for now…

I recently tried using rockwool cubes for seedling growth after germination I had a bunch of damp offs, I wasn’t very happy. Maybe the cubes we’re just too wet, but I won’t do it again anytime soon

I would be interested in seeing you fill the bottom of your cup with perlite and use your notill mix above the perilite. @lotus710

The reason I suggested this is that you will need to run a ph mid 5 range with perlite.

I did plant directly in the perlite. Had to help them with their shells bit other than that it worked out ok.
