Yeah me too, down to eight. LOL
one of mine still hasnāt popped up above soil, so iām down to 2 c99 and 1 blueberry, but the blueberry is even showing a bit of blue/purplish on the cotyledon or maybe iām crazy but now i have thrips in my tent so iām having to start spraying todayā¦ going to do a heavy defoliation then spray everything down every 2nd day with method 1ā¦ i wish i had started weekly IPM as soon as i received the method 1 instead of waiting for a friggin problem !
Sure but i know that within two weeks i need to transplant or else itll strangle itself XD maybe do what someone here mentioned. Notill ontop. Perlite on bottom.
I am at 25/25 out of dirt one is at risk of damp off
I just top dressed with kelp, neem meal, crabshell, langbeinite, and oyster shell powder. Just a pinch or less and gave a light dusting of diatomaceous earth for a pest deterrent. I also raised them six inches or so to try and get them used to some more intense light.
I submitted my entry for todayās update on the contest thread. My stems are a little purple, might be pH or i dunno, not gonna pay much attention to it, as long as they keep on growing and wellā¦ It seems they are really happy. NPK 2-3-1, at 30% with the water next time, rock is still wet.
My guess would be slightly phosphorus def. my tomato seedlings almost always get it then pop out of it , are your roots well out of the rock wool cubes at this point yet?
Got no idea, let me check just nowā¦ Okay back.
Well canāt really tell, the perlite is so white i canāt see any roots, i think i will be able to see when they reached the bottom but sofar nothing. I am spraying the rock with Bio Marine 2-3-1 @ 30% strengh, that should make up for something. I think.
Ya I never tried this style of growing I think it would be hard , not familiar enough with perlite but my guess it has no CEC capacity therefore nutrients wouldnāt be to " hold on" to it. This might have to be a continuous fertilizer thing to do to get through to the end. Thoughts?
Yes, the hempy buckets with perlite and vermaculite are a hydro system. They will require constant feeding once they get their first true leaves Iām still giving mine RO without pH correction. Will probably wait a few days before feeding anything.
My last round was using chemical fertilizers. By the end I was feeding 3x a day by hand. This time I hope to use my ferments the whole way through. Heck I may even pollinate one or two and make a few seeds. I think I have a seed making problem!
I am gonna spray the little rock cube and hope it drains down to the roots at the bottom, but when they reach the bottom they will have a little reservoir with nutrient water in it, lika an inch at the bottom or less, itās a passive hydro set up. Here.
As you can see the little hole on the side of the cup allows water to drain and therefore all the remaining space on the top is air, while the below area would be the reservoir with nutes in itā¦
IPulling up a chair and measuring u cats up for the second OG cup challenge. Damn it, missed out this time. If all goes good for ya here, Iām sure you will all be ready early in 2018ā¦I will beā¦Cheers!

Looks like someone has taken the leadā¦ WOOHOO!!!
Itās not so hard, one thread is to chit chat about the contest and the
other one for the updates, but donāt worry, iāll keep it tidy.
is that allowed ? it says No roots can come out of the cup, no placing on top of other media.
