I have a reservoir and inside there is sitting clear water since a year.
Somehow there did build some white/clear stuff on the whole surface. I tried to scoop it and then it fell to pieces.
Any idea what that is? Is that pythium? Temperatures did not go over 10 degree celcius. Sorry for the bad picture. Maybe I try to do some better ones.

Probably some type of fungus, or maybe a failed algae bloom. Either way I’d clean it out and start fresh!

A year old?
I’d dump it and start new… there’s no telling what is in it from a year. No aeration? That would be something to consider.
