Mine is too but I like that big sun in there
Don’t matter what you’re pushing veg wise as long as there’s enough to stop them from lankin on you.
Nothing worse than spindley ass plants.
To know me is to love me there Mr.Bee been this way all my life and only when it’s needed.
@barefrog no I have not thems fresh fresh.
I really like that 8813 I found of yours and I found one of them earlier 8813 x xxx outstanding.
I’m pretty sure you got some nice short stout hp.
Welcome back Greyfox. Looking forward to the sour run. Hope all is well as it can be!
He hasn’t mentioned being friends with Master Thai, has he?
Welcome back! You couldn’t get your old profile back?
Hi folks, good afternoon everyone, @GMan, @Greyfox, @ShiskaberrySavior and or whoever could answer… (thanks in advance!), I’m used to not being able to find most common stuff around here, but believe it or not, I’ve been having a hard time finding T5s, fluorescent lights and fixtures. In case I found a LED fixture and light trying to get close to, say, a
as @GMan is saying, would that affect plants differently? Considering the same wattage!? Thanks, and good weekend to all of us!
Not quite sure what the question is . Different wattages will effect the out come of how your plants preform under the light. Vegging vs flowering under a weak light will result in fluffy under developed buds . No so much the case using a lower powered light to veg under.
Thanks, I meant same wattage, but instead of fluorescent, still 6500K but as a LED imitation of the fluorescent, if that would be very different, meaning from fluorescent to LED but same specs, 4 bulbs of 54w each…
I’m old school still using mh and hps.
I like 400 watts min in my veg tents of course that’s depending in size.
For instance I use a 2 x 4 tent but I run a big 600w hps hortilux air-cooled in it at flower.
Which exceeds the old time watts per sf.
It used to be min. of 60 watts per sf.
Now it’s like it dont matter to me I’m happy with where I’m at. So I’m holdingvpretty true to old school.
Same with the flouros I still use them but a bit xtra strength.
Something else I don’t have to buy until it’s broken broken, then just replace the ballast
Easy peasy cheap repair
Cheers for the old school. I miss the days of lumens as the good standard. That said, I also love the reduction in my power bill that LED
brings. But, man do I love the old school.
I’d like to try one of the new led lights out city has been installing friggin bright light
The messed up thing is that the old mercury lamp streetlights were safer and better for our night vision than the brighter leds. you can see further and more clearly by the orange streetlights than the new leds. That’s because red light doesn’t interfere with human night vision. The eye doesn’t react to red light in the same way.
The brighter blue-white light from the LEDs kills your night vision by forcing your eyes to switch back to “daylight vision” mode, and wears out your eye muscles with glare. This makes it much less safe for drivers and pedestrians.
This is why I hate driving at night now. It’s SO MUCH WORSE after it rains to because of everything now becoming reflective!
I thought it was just me! Hate night driving! Can’t see shit, see shit that ain’t shit nooooo!
Totally get that. I hate those led lights on cars. Totally blind me. I thought it was because I was older, than the grandson said they showed be outlawed as they blind him. Very dangerous haveing blind drivers on the road.
Haha absolutely Doug. I remember rolling around and thinking, “Wow! This looks just like the glow from the HPS in the closet that I can’t seem to black out.” Man, I’d love to go back to the 90’s and very early 2000’s.
