I got the first 5 ceramic metal halide 630 watts setups today. The intense white light is crazy. I am very pleased with these lights.These are gonna be great for veg and moms. Short internode spaceing is the goal.
I use diemetaous earth ( don’t know how to spell that) so, on some of the lower leaves you can see some white spots from the powder.
I have moms in ebb and grow buckets and moms in a soiless mix. I barely got the a.c and power so the soiless plants don’t look the best, but, hydro is good, many strains and phenos is not always the easiest in a hydro setup with al the same nutes for everybody.

Last hurricane I was running into a similar problem with my generator… Floros add up… So I ran the 220v line from the generator, split the two hot legs (120v ea) and used the ground as my nutral… Talk to a real electrician before frying out your 3 phase xformer… Also I know they sell the floros in 120,240,208,and277v… You might be able to use the high leg of your service without the big xformer right out of your 3 phase panel…also you might want to become fimiliar with the wire ( de-rating) calculator it comes in handy when wiring up larger grows it’s like about 4000v to strike the arc on a standerd hps so if your going to do a ballast farm you might want to pay attention to the distance between ballast and bulbs…overworked ballast and bulbs cost more than alittle extra copper:nerd_face:

thanks for your reply. stick around, I am just getting set up. I already bought and installed a 150kva 3 phase 240volt transformer.
it has 4 00copper lines run;
L1 L2 L3 N
If you check voltage from any two lines it will measure 240v
any single line or phase, it measures 128-130volts
so, with this configuration on the transformer I don’t have a high line.
400amp main with a 200amp sub panel rated at 225 amps constant. after I fill this panel, I have room for another one next to it.
I am wiring each 3 ballasts for one breaker. 1100 watts / 240volts = 4.6amps. 4.6amps x 3ballasts= 13.8 on a 15 amp constant load breaker. the maximum wire run from any ballast to the breaker will be around 30ft. the first 40 lights are on there way.
yea, the diomatacious earth forms a layer that prevents air to the rootzone on my potted soiless mix plants. I had to break up that cake ontop to let air threw. I am using it on my hydroton buckets because the top never gets wet.
To me they look nice and healthy… Do you use some supplements for mothers to promote branching (like Mum8 from Metrop or StartUp from Plagron)? To increase production of cuttings…

hey! thanks. Right now I am feeding them general hydroponics. unfortunately where where i live there is only one hydro store and they don’t carry shit. I normally have to mix and match to complete a nutrient formula. I was using maxi grow with si, calmag, europonic fossil fuel and now that I need more control have switched to the flora series 3 part. I changed my rez yesterday. in 45 galons of r.o water I made a 3,2,2 half stregth mix adding a bit more p for the moms to balance growth. besides the base nutes I added the flora blend and floralicious. I also bought comercial grade chelated hydroponic nutes per kilo so I can eventually add only a single ingredient if needed.
the 00 copper line = 9.27mm diameter or 67.4mm2
I will investigate the products you recommended as I am not familiar with any of them.

I make a 45 degree cut on the end and the clones are usually around 5" long. I take the best and most vigorous shoots. I use different products, right now clonex. Dip the tip ( not in the bottle) than into my clone machine with 35ppm silica, 60 ppm calmag, 30 ppms 3 part fertilizer 5.8ph

First and most importantly. Your container. Thebigger the better. More water volume will stay cool even with pump on constantly. I would use probably a 5 gal bucket with lid. Depending on how many clones you want to take, you will cut from 2-8 holes in the lid. 1 hole will be for the power cord and airstone.
You need a small water pump.
Pvc pipe or 1/2inch water hose for drippers. (Black hard plastic hose. Don’t know the name) the length depends on the size of your container.
180degree sprayers. Or what ever the have at home depot or lowes.
(5) 90 degree 1/2 inch hose connectors (don’t know the name? Coupling maybe) - you may need a 1/2 T or two depending on your container shape.
Door handle drill bit. 2" or 2 1/4"
Pool noodle from walmart
Slice the pool noodle in 1inch thick disks. Than, using a box cutter cut a slight grove 1/8" deep on the out side of the disk around the middle so it will catch when u put it in the lid.
*in the picture i am filling the rez with r.o water using the clear hose. It doesn’t have any function in the cloner

What is the orientation of the sprayers? Do they shoot straight up or are they aimed outward to the tub walls?
Yes, some are shooting straight up, and some on a angle to cover the middle. You want to make sure each clone gets sprayed. I leave the pump on for 24 hours than 15min on 15min off the rest of the time.
