Used the outdoor burner this weekend to make a big ass batch of authentic South Louisiana gumbo. Smoked sausage from rabideaux’s and best stop, ducks that I shot went in the pot along w some chicken and smoked turkey. NO TOMATOES IN MY GUMBO!

Sorry, no pics. Wife made me make it outside bc it smells up the house for a good week. You’ll go to put some clean clothes on and 5 days later still smell like gumbo. Weather was great on Sunday for some outdoor cooking!

That’s awesome, I wish I could get legit whole calamari here. All they have in the store is frozen cut squid. I remember buying them whole years ago and pulling the thin backbone (not really a backbone) out of the head. You can actually paper cut your fingers on those things.

Drumsticks for the Super Bowl, half lemon pepper, half Teriyaki.

I also made guacamole, a pitcher of margaritas (from scratch: tequila, Cointreau, fresh squeezed lime juice, agave, and salt), and a blackberry cobbler for dessert.
