If you’re going to review products, my preference would be for zero unboxing (you’re just filling time with that crap), and plenty of your own thoughts and feelings about the product based on your first hand experience with it.

Actually, I was thinking the same thing, but there were so many videos that did this, I thought it was an industry standard (remember Trinity, I am new to this stuff )

If I wrote a review of a movie I’d never seen, I certainly wouldn’t expect anybody to take me seriously, nor to rush to the cinema off the back of it.

100% agree, which is why you see me throughout the video with the product in my hand and in the beginning of the video with my face and product in the same shot! I saw this movie XD

The reason you haven’t just fit into the community is as mentioned you haven’t made a thread other than to post about this product and that product it’s just yeh I made a video let me know what you think and when they do your next video is the same

Some people type out their experiences on OG, why in 2019, with everyone having a video camera in their pocket, shouldn’t we consider video as an acceptable alternative method of creating content without it making me a bad guy?

I think @ReikoX hit the nail on the head way up which was that he enjoys seeing garden updates which is the same for me if you just had a grow journal and was like yeh I’m using this light this media and these nutes day whatever and then continued to post then that’s a product review in itself no need for websites and sales pitch bullshit and links.

The best thing I have ever purchased to fight spider mites is [product].

Super soft on your ladies as the active ingredient only takes up 1% of the product. No after tastes and works great at keeping those pesky mites at bay.

Will take a look into Silica as I haven’t tried that before (I use [product]), but the issue of getting the product under the leaves is what I am trying to solve.

I’d stick with that. It’s all the people on here doing just that that got me into this place. Anybody pushing products of any kind are clearly signposted as sponsors, so generally speaking I know when to add that pinch of salt.

I’ve just about finished my first grow, and the best thing I could have done towards that grow was join up here and get a diary going. The help I’ve had along the way has been invaluable. Videos of people taking plant pots out of boxes has not.

There’s not a lot of hate here & the moderation is excellent-- (another contrast to youtube).

Much of what’s been posted by others echoes my initial confusion & discomfort with the thread/approach.

As an analogy, picture a person sitting down too-closely & too-friendily on public transit. The natural instinct is to retreat at the very least & if the newcomer persists & insists they “love me & this place”, they might get handled a bit roughly.
