Haha I do like to be pretty ruthless with the selection. Sometimes I kill them off when they are young. For example the CSI Virgin Kush never seen life past a few weeks. They were super lame veggers compared to everything else I popped alongside(most of that Bodhi and CCK). No hard feelings against CSI there. Some genetics are just like that. At the time I didnāt want a bunch of small runty plants along side bigger ones. I was wanting more uniformity that run and didnāt have the veg space to keep em vegging up to a proper size. And while dank weed is the ultimate end goal we are all breeding for I really appreciate vigor and ease of growth so culling out plants like that imo is not such a bad thing even if the flowers would have been fire.
Few of those hermed out on me as well and didnāt get to see the finish line. 3/3 Lions Milk, 2/2 Hollyweed, 5/6 Planet Purple all hermed and got cut out. I kill herms on sight, itās just a part of the sifting process the way I see it.
Also lost most of the Thunderfudge to damping off and the 2 that survived were males murphys law.
In regards to the past comments about taking a break from the social media and the internet, itās needed for all of us at times imo even more so now than in past times, as we get caught up and engrossed in our screen consumption whether outside designed for alterior motives or even our own choices like reading threads at 11:45 at night cause you canāt sleep, but that consumption can cause us to loose sight of what is actually important to us, whatās needed and what brings us happiness, so taking those breaks are defintely needed for everyoneā¦
As for this community we get to grow cool plants and share them with like minded people or those who can understand our obsessions while that sharing allows all of us to grow through the understanding of ourselfs, others, and or knowledge that we aquire as time goes onā¦ So yeah count me in for that .
And isnāt it hard sometimes trying to explain culling decisions when really at a base level those plants in question just donāt excite or bring as much happiness as what other plants could do and really were just trying to maximize that aspect , no sense wasting time on something you donāt enjoy unless there is a positive reason behind it.
@paintedfire420 you are a super cool person! I know little about the situation you had. And to be honest I appreciate all that you have shared with this community. You may feel the only thing you have to share is beans and pics. The Truth is you have so much more to say and share. I love reading the things you post and the beans you have shared. Hey! Just had a chance to catch up on your thread! Took like 3 days lol. Really nice stuff you have going on. Really excited about the G99 and BNK. Even with all the preservation genetics those are the first photos I plan on popping first when I move. I want to do an auto run first just to fill the coffers, but I was thinking about starting them around the time the autos start flowering if I have the room for em.
Hereās a closer look at the 4 shorter OGKB x OMG Bodhi Testers. Day 40 They are starting to develop and look a lot nicer but they are lacking in the terp department so far. Not exactly burnt rubber but strange smells similar to is the only thing I can think of.
I cheated though. Sheās been going for a year and a half and that is her second flowering. Iām going to try and reveg again after this harvest and then dump her outside in the spring
