How is it going? Have any flower yet?

Lol… no… not yet… but … it’s definitely going better ever since raising ambient room Temps of outside my tent… so the dips in Temps when fans kick on for humidity reasons aren’t as low as they were before. It has proven to really help… so dips that went down to 81 degrees f turned into dips that only went down from 86 and 87 to 85 instead… and from what I’ve seen on blackdogled vpd post they had… they said 85 is optimal… so under is going to slow uptake… over… not so much. Also… switched off ro water to straight tap … ( 300 ppm ) so it’s perfect water actually lol… but my basement flooded 3 days ago… I mean 3 inches of muddy water everywhere… including underneath tents… so I’m struggling w that now… but I’ve cleaned most… but am afraid I’ll lose the tents in the long run @Gardenartus. ro mold or mildew … scary shit

But… to make a long story shorter… I’m flipping to flowering in a day or so… with 1 plant… and 6 others will wait in another tent until ready to put into the 12 12 tent

How’s it going

Good morning Paps, I have a question for you. Im wondering if transplanting plants in one gallon pots that are a bit older into Octos will be a problem? Will they root properly? Or should I go with younger clones still in solo cups?
Would appreciate your advise on this. Or any other Octo users opinions for that matter.

Hi brother Floyd happy new year. Clones are the best way to go ,but I have very successfully planted mature plants from 1 gallon pots into my Octopots! Just break up the root ball and do the turbo method it will work well ! I’m going to do the same with my Frankenstein next week

It can save you a great deal of time also
Iv had great yield as well

Whatz you going to run ?

I do this when I get root bound  :ok_hand:

I pull out an OLFA blade that has been half wrapped in tape and use it to “cut and score” all around the ball. Really fucks up the outer roots/rootlets and makes them re-grow in overdrive. :+1:

Happy New Year!
Ok, I have a couple older plants grown from seed from OG members that I would like to flower, but was worried about them rooting. I think they will get their shot in the octos then.
Thanks for the advise. :grinning:

I fell in love with the technique when I notices how well my mothers bounced back after I cut off 1/3 of the root mass when re-potting. :+1:

Bonus is I could wipe the blade clean with 70% iso between each plant before the scoring to keep things “as sterile as I get”.
