Phylos - I cant believe this!

All of this “big business is going to take over cannabis” means DIDDLY SQUAT to us home growers. I mean, cmon. Between just a handful of us in this thread, we probably possess enough seed stock to fully repopulate the cannabis gene pool, amirite? —I myself am sitting on a hefty stockpile.

I ain’t worried one bit.

The best part of this is it was just off of and visible from a major highway.

I always worry about what the government will try and control. But yes, thankfully we tend to all be rebels

Cops had never cared about weed for as long as I remember, now they check you at a police RIDE breathalyzer program and can take your license if you are driving under the influence of cannabis and don’t differentiate between canna and alcohol. Before legalization that was never a thing.

Are you saying you are for people driving impaired?

No, I’m saying that 2 hours after smoking and you still have cannabis in your system you should be able to drive and cannabis tolerance is way different and can’t be lumped into the same vein as alcohol. Are you saying cannabis and alcohol affect you the same? Where did I say that?

The way you said it, it’s seemed like you want to be legally able to drive around high.

Ah yea, no that’s dumb. Even so, do you ever play video games extremely drunk? Are you any good? Do you ever play games wasted high? It’s completey diferent but no, I don’t think people should be running around ripped out their minds but they def can’t lump the two together as they aren’t the same at all but my point is before legalization you couldn’t get charged for driving under the influence of cannabis because the law didn’t exist until it was regulated and legal. It would be a minor possesion and the cop would steal your weed.

Ide just like to say this, it’s a pleasure to discuss things on this site compared to others I’ve seen. Not a single person being a troll and carrying actual conversation forward. It’s rare in the forum world. This place is an absolute gem.

No I don’t play video games any more, but me playing videos high or drunk doesn’t put anyone else in danger, that’s the big difference there.

Oh yea totally, just using as a reference point to our cognitive functioning between two completely different substances.

I think there should be a distinction between recreational use and medicinal use. Some find homeostasis with medicinal use of drug type cannabis so that they may be able to function.

There’s a clear difference in my opinion between having impaired motor skills or not when consuming drug type cannabis.

Notwithstanding there would likely be some on the other end of the spectrum abusing and causing disruption. We don’t necessarily need dab rigs in vehicles for drivers just to get absolutely blasted.

For me it comes down to cognitive function and physical ability. You’re either fit to drive a motor vehicle or not. I think many can responsibility use cannabis both recreationally and medicinally and still operate heavy machinery and operate motor vehicles. I think it depends on the unique biochemistry of an individual and the unique make-up of a given variety. There is definitely some weed that I will not operate heavy machinery after smoking, and some weed that is the opposite and settles the mind and actually puts me in the zone where I feel very comfortable and confident and both my cognitive function and motor skills are sharp and functioning at a high level of performance.

@Magu with respect to your posts original comment, I believe this has to do with our society values. In a gift economy where someone doesn’t have seeds others in the community come together to gift and share so they too can live in abundance. We are all born as babies without ability to care or nurture ourselves into adulthood. Without the required help and love of others we don’t exist. Yet now we live in a society where problems are created to present options of purchasing these same seeds that were once given away and shared freely.

The seeds could be anything. A cow that produces abundant milk. Bread to eat. Nourishing aspects of life. Once joyfully shared now we sell to our far removed brothers and sisters these things for $19.99. In my opinion the way out is retracing the way in. Turning fractured communities into communities fostering connection and togetherness. We are what we consume and we’re blasted with noisy junk daily. We consume enough distractions to keep stagnant the changes we wish to see most. It’s a curated theater. We’re dancing to the music of the popular catchy beat. The attractive signage. All of it. How we spend our money and time is important. What we consume. How we consume it.

Towards the end of your comment you say something that is so incredibly heartfelt. Imagine waiting for a bus and being able to pick some buds off a wild plant. I so often wonder why there are so many planned, planted, and tended ornamentals all around city scapes yet hardly no edible fruit trees. Plenty of fruit for sale in the local markets though. Maybe it’s always been like this and those romanticized ideas of an abundant gift economy are really just delusions of grandeur. I hold onto hope though, I feel as if I notice reflections of such beauty in both myself and others. It feels most rewarding too. I’m grateful for the space to reflect on these things. Thank you and all the contributing members for helping cultivate the space for that. Many blessings and much love

Not my point either. Time is irrelevant if you aren’t doing stuff you’re not supposed to.
