I’m sorry for bring this here but I need to say it.
Just got home from putting down my wife & sons cat :cat2:, Mr Whiskers. :sob: :crying_cat_face: everyone is crying, it’s the worst possible thing I could have thought I’d be doing today.

Emergency vet hospital said he had 1 in 3 chances of survival for $4500.00 & it’s no guarantee the surgery would work at all, and likely would cause Mr Whiskers undue suffering…

Apparently even though we have taken perfect care of this guy, Top knotch foods, exercise, Regurlar vet visits, shots ect and even only giving him water that’s been filtered via Britta machine he still managed to get a Blocked Uniary :no_entry_sign: … All out of nowhere, 10hrs ago he was seemingly fine, then started tryin to pee alot more often ( 15 times in 1 hrs) while nothing was coming out. My poor kids & wife are devastated  :broken_heart: :disappointed:

Love you Mr Whiskers RIP my friend!

Sorry yall. Just venting.

I’m so worried about Mr Whiskers Brother since birth health might start going down hill now ?
They have been together since birth everyday, always attached.

Ps for the record our family is done with beautiful furry lovable animals forever, it’s too much heartache

@CADMAN

I feel this pain across the miles… I can still hear my baby boy crying 40 yrs later.

Heartfelt tears for your loss.

Stuck with girl kitties for decades until I took a boy away from an asdhole that had no business with a cat (long story) and turned out to be a boy, but he’s safer with me.

He will see you in Heaven, at least that’s what I believe.

@CADMAN I’m so sorry for your family’s loss. May you find peace and happiness in the coming days. Hold everyone a bit closer. It takes a long time to heal from something so bitter.

Big hugs to you and the fam @CADMAN .

Yesterday was rough for many reasons; one of which is the fact that 4 years ago we said farewell to our dear Sponge who fell asleep with us by his side and then peacefully never woke back up. We couldn’t have hoped for a better end for a doggo that survived cancer, 2x bouts of pancreatitis with the final years being blind with doggie dementia.

18 years + 3 months mean’t he was legit like our teenage son; but really short, dumb but loving and even more hairy than me lol.

the 3rd is ALSO my sister’s birthday so it’s all slightly fucked up emotionally ever year since he passed.

Yes you are correct!
There is also a leucistic Canada Goose around here as well but I haven’t gotten a pic of it yet.

I can understand that my friend, 18+ yrs is a really long time & they do in fact feel like our kids. Beautiful photos :camera_flash:

My wife is taking it really badly, not eating much or sleeping hardly at all, continuely crying. It’s hard to comfort her esp while working 12hr shifts. I’m doing my best to help her & the kids. Even the other cat is depressed I swear it.

Our newest addition to the family is Cassidy.
She came up last Winter in an ice storm, pregnant, emaciated and crippled up with a busted up front leg. I named her Hopalong Cassidy because of the limp. It doesn’t slow her roll though. She’s a rat killing machine!

I think that she’s found her peace and place.

So sorry for you guys. I almost made the same decision back a few years ago when my Quarter horse gelding died at the age of 26. I’m glad I didn’t listen to myself. Pets add to a persons life in so many ways. Scratch was a pet after he retired. I still miss him.
