I had to do some wicked training to get here, but here we are
I never had a grow trainer, but I’d like to become one.
gonna start giving out some secrets not so secrets:
How i aerate and evenly mix the ferts and coco (notice i dont say “living soil” because im not one of those):
Also makes it easy to plop teens into outdoor pots or beds or whatever.
This was 40 bux on amazon i sesrched lowest lmh301 and it has a moso driver?
Gtfo
Promo for reviews or thry found cheap sammy bins?
It does pull 150w from wall.
Well if i cared and wasnt effing around and thought “mars hydro” was a reliable brand these would be best lights for a 4x2
https://www.mars-hydro.com/smart-fc4000-samsung-lm301h-evo-led-grow-light
Uv ir samsung evo and bar lights with real spread (not sure why people keep mentioning other stupid lights that have horrible spread even when used 2x+)
The viparspectra xs3000 with uv was 190 ebay sale (over) is 60 bux less but are not bar lights or samsung.
Ac infinity too pricey for a small tent.
The cheapo farmlight 6 bar is 320w overkill for 4x2 no co2, 23"x40" so i lose 5" on each side unless i can adjust it longer with the bar screws…i read new one has uv ir, their driver changes but they dont use cheap parts.
They use good grade bin older lm281b+ in more numbers so each draw less (i read too much into this shit) to get their efficiency up and i wont run it at 100 anyway so it works for me i hope.
Supposedly 3 year warranty but u can always do the amazon switcharoo if they still sell it lol or use credit card warranty…hmm i should have made sure not to use amazon card lol
Hope to open that one tomorrow.
I spent years testing out lights on Amazon everything from name brand to total random crap and you can def find some gems but it takes some patience going through them… don’t trust so called listed ppfd and component parts bc most if not all lie like hell. Amazon is good bc with prime mostly 2 day shipping and returns easy…that farmlite is their house brand and legit esp for bar style. I’ve been through everything from old box blurple to cobs to board to bars and individual bulbs you name it. Also awesome lightning deals pop up here and there
Cool yea id agree.
Even if it lasts 3 years if i paid 200 more id already see new tech coming out.
The only issue i see is the dimmer jumping from 75 to 100 per reviews but ill use a wall meter to check draw.
Good to know you think they are legit. I figure cant go wrong with all aluminum and mostly sammy diodes being well under max amperage rated.
Infact i used their diode number to find their alibaba source specs haha
I just noticed the small reflector lip has no mirror finish.
Any ideas to make it reflective?
The small quantum one i got lm301h or copy of has way less diodes for a 150w in such a small halo space so i dunno how long that wil last. Some complained it gets hot with that black cover no surprise.
The company name looks like someone randomly typed on a keyboard so 40 bux who cares.
I paid $300 for my Mars tsl2000 4 years ago and sold it for $100
The Migro goes 100 80 60 etc
Good news i got the bar lights and testing one bar at lowest is bright af! Slight blurp tint.
Bad news
NO UV.
NO IR.
But probably wouldnt be good anyway at 75%
My transition lenses did get barely a dark spot when putting it right over the blue but that’s normal to have some uv leak.
You can rig a strip light of ir uv probably easily on them though.
It’s good i have a watt meter and these leds are under powered…
I plugged one bar in and that shit went to 100w half dial im like Oops. No harm lol
Pic At lowest 33.4w (out of like 50w max each) one bar can easily do a 2x2 at max. There’s 5 more
Drivers seems large n heavy
Ha
Oredred another and will return lol
Extended it a bit.
No more cramped middle either.
Leds reaches 39" now.
Ill try to find 2 larger brackets.
Anyone know where they source the aluminum parts are pretty light n strong.
Some space left if i drill new holes for the bars i can slide the outside ones out futher.
I did a thing.
Good shit driver just gets very harm at highest.
4x2x5 40 using small 100cfm fan at lowest dial (7w vs 12w) kept on. Figure with filter in future it will be fine.
Used 4 hangers instead of the two it came with no wires i mean how high do they think we hang these?
Pic was at 134w.
I have to make a paper diffuser for the photone app to get par but random lux test at corners with phone showed low drop and all around uniform.
Glad i extended it its just bent lol but works out no middle hot spots at all.
Now to see if these poor things forgive me…
The plants in the 4x2 look like shit.
Flowering lights+cold weather makes metabolism and Ph imbalance.
Lucky me these are a pricing mistake or a steal since 48" is not popular?
