Question from a noob about autos and breeding in general

So given that these plants have been doing this for 100’s of thousands of years, with NO assistance from us whatsoever…

I’m assuming that males and females both produce their flowers at the proper time to continue to pollinate and produce more plants,.
That being said, I’d like to get my pollen done and dried before the females go into flower.
Should I start the males 2wks before the gurlz?..3?..4?

Yes, you can take a hands off approach and let an open pollination take place. I think males are quicker for this very purpose. I’ve also heard people recommending to kill early males. I guess if I were doing some photo work, I would flip to 12/12 for two days, them back to veg to trigger them to show sex, then I would separate males and start flowering them. I’ve only done a couple reversals and started the pollen donors several weeks early in the case of the autos.
