Nice. I’ve never been one to flush, even with autos, and never noticed any negatives in doing nutes up until the end.
There are lots of hocus pocus things I used to do that I don’t do anymore. Like…offgassing chlorine from my tapwater for example.
Well, as I’m finding is usual with me, I second guessed myself and this morning I watered all four plants with some reduced nutes. Now I’ll let them go for another week until they’re fully dry and then chop. Probably around 11/9.
YOU GOTTA DRIVE NAILS INTO THE STALKS!!!
What are ya…crazy?
I save my nails for martyrs but I’m also out of screws.
How thoughtful of you
9 out of 10 martyrs prefer nails.
First door on your left one cross each.
Lights were shut off yesterday afternoon. Last watering was 11/3. Right now the plan is to chop them tomorrow (possibly tonight) and begin the drying process. Tent is currently sitting at 68F and 43% RH with the lights off. Perfect for drying the whole plant and then doing a dry trim.
I’ll be taking the lights out of the tent this afternoon to make room for hanging the plants. Hoping for at least a pound from these four plants after drying.
They are nice and fat.
The deed is done. Plants chopped and hanging in the tent. Went the route of hanging them whole for a slow dry and then a dry trim.
Picture of them hanging. Staggered their heights to allow for more air circulation. Have both side vents open, the fan and filter running at 50% up top, and a small fan circulating air at the bottom. Tent is sitting at 68F and 47% RH.
They should be ready for their dry trim sometime middle to late next week.
A lesson learned after chopping and disposing of the soil / roots:
- Definitely could have let the plants go in the veg phase for a while longer. The root ball was nowhere near filling up the 5 gallon grow bags (the 5 gallon plastic pot was at least closer). This was expected since I was (rightfully) worried about the size when I flipped, but good to know going forward that I could easily have used smaller pots for the length of veg I had.
Edit: Another lesson learned - I need a bigger tent.
Should be a good haul, very nice! Good job on a success run @Randar!
Just wondering: did you use extra CO2 for this grow? Sorry if you already answered this previously. Just wondering how beneficial it is. I was thinking about making a DYI build, but only if it helps
I did not, unless you count my breathing on them while I was sitting at the tent door sniffing the flowers.
I try to keep my grows as simple as possible. Tap water, lights, basic nutes, Promix soil, etc. No ph testing, ppm measuring, etc.
Ah, good news. I am the same way with wanting things to be simple. This is inspiring to me, I’m glad it is working for you!
