Will this work from solo cups to 3 gallon fabric pots?
Iād be careful adding compost - 707 is supposed to be used by itself. More compost could make the soil too heavy (holding too much water and compressing too much).
Adding too much compost is how I screw myself most times. It seems better because you donāt have to water as often, but cannabis doesnāt like heavy soil.
Ok, better not to mess around and use it the way it comes. Maybe will put a little perlite in it, so it dries faster. That or hydroton.
I wish they would just tell you how much perlite is in there. In the picture it looks like a lot, canāt hurt to add more though. I guess they donāt want to give up the secret formula.
You bet, I move up from 8oz cup to approx 40oz tub, put the cup in
when filling, and if amendments layer them in. Usually just use Endo
on the roots. This give about an inch of soil around root plug inserted.
This size will last - the 10-12 days until transplant at day 21 when
flipped to force sex, again about 10 days to show.
This is when I top and transplant to flower size and start veg phase.
Short plants, short box, short veg - 21 days before flower.
This in the past has started fading out about week 4 of flower, am
hoping with KNF, and a little extra it should be happy a bit longer.
Even putting another couple inches of soil on top and watering in
does amazing things (if you didnāt fill containers to the top).
speaking of 707 - looks like itās working for these guys in the NY Times article - or it WAS working for them anyway.

This is a very nice pic! Thanks @Muleskinner,you have been redeemedā¦ LOL
@MadScientist, I would seriously advise you to add oodles of perlite to this 707.
You have demonstrated a proclivity to over water your plants.
Perlite will help save them from your love!
Hahahahaš
HAHAHAHAHAHA, thanks @Calyxander. Will follow your advise. I was actually planning to add some perlite so it dries out faster.
@MadScientist I just wanted to touch base and see if you have continued to use the 707? What was your thoughts on the product? Thank you as I am using it myself and this was directly what I wanted to see in a thread. Have a blessed day my friend
How does a roots 707 compare to a proper homemade amended soil?
It doesnt compare
