SAN checking in @ OG

i would describe it as “untested” at this point, lol.
no one grew it yet …

the fune will fruit up the fuely/kushy “Do-z-dos”
and it’ll bring down the flo-time from 9-10 to 8-9w
tropical/red fruits mixed with a fuely og/cookie-type.

Yea the 80’s haze special would be also my first choice. i am sure all the stuff is killer. The questions is just at which end of the spectrum you’re sitting.

I just dropped some Tropical Freeze into the dunk tank!

That’s the problem…I would consider myself a ‘full spectrum’ kind of guy, and this makes choosing which seeds to pop even that much more difficult!

Hey there fellas, I have two Strawberry Chocolates from @santero and I wonder whether I should use them both (most likely) or not.
Is anyone able to identify already some features here or there? I thought in the second plant there are some Diesel traits, in the leafs, shining through. I could be wrong though.
What does the master himself say?

My plan is to cross them with my Honduras x A5 Haze and the the two Amnesia Haze /Cocolate Rain F2 x Chocolate Cheese#3.

From my Double Cocoa 13/14 made it.

no borders or masters, please

hm, let’s me …
they are both showing more choco diesel side of things.
the darker leafs are from the indica used in the choco trip.
indigo blue (that was what the blue was about in the name).
it’s also the slight double serration that shows from her.

1st one looks more sour diesel, while
the other has more of the choco trip going on.

the “sm” was eaten up by the rest of the genetics, lol.
maybe it shows in taste or budshape or overall structure later on …

i only saw one other person grow my strawberry chocolate over at
opengrow a few years back. he said that the lady he found was trichy
as hell and showed a nice pic (he kindly let me use it for the description
on seedfinder and seedheaven). the sticky/glue-like trichs that appear
on the gg#4 clone only come from the choco diesel.

EDIT.
did they show sex yet?
i had this cd#7-male create lines that made a very high male-ratio in his kids.

haha okay, so actually just opposite to my guess. Glad you shared your knowledge with me.
I guess I will use both of them.
The pic on seedfinder looks really promising. I hope mine will also add that nice layer of frost to the Honduras x A5 Haze.

Thanks man, your help and work is highly appreciated here!

i love the idea and admire everyone doing their own lines.
may this turn into a success for you, bro. you deserve it!

crossing that to a satty is a wonderful idea.
this might result in some heavy fireworks.

honduras x a5 already sound killergood *njom *
(i’d get “the jitters” from smoking that, haha.)

__

EDIT.
the one showing three leafs has a bit of the “sm” showing.
its all mixed in a hybrid, so you might bump into more traits
as you go along  keep me posted if possible.

Thank for the kind words. I was hoping for females, but got these two guys I assume, petty sure though. So as I liked what I saw and the cross is no longer available I thought I’d cross it to some sativas. Most of the tings I grow are sativas anyway. I might also include a Purple Zamal x Panama.

I will take some pics from time to time and keep you in the loop. I also took a cutting of each male. In case anyone is interested. Not sure how I will keep them because I have very limited space and need it for the double cocoas.

They showed signs of pre-flower. They looked like little balls. I am therefore pretty sure they are males.

Touchdown
Thank you @santero . You definitely know me well, as all of these are right up my alley. Losing all those hazes was tough, so this is exciting

Also Im gonna have to learn how to Cob before I grow these Choc Thais. This is exciting.
Im thinking of reintroducing the CT to DJ’s work, as I believe thats where a lot of the profound euphoria and chill factor comes from, which seems to have been lost after '98.
Im thinking might as well recreate the Oaxacan x CT that made Purple Thai.
So, heres to finding a kickass male.

Interesting project @bluna :+1: I think it’s so cool that we can take our favorite genetics and mix/mash them up to make something special. :slightly_smiling_face:

Looking forward to hearing the progress of this project and wishing you best of luck.

Pulled a couple of Dead Whabbit males from the tent yesterday, first time in my life I’ve had male plants stink my place out. Such a strange smell, obscure orange/citrus, tangerine funk…so pungent.

… meanwhile somewhere in UK :sunglasses:
(EDIT2: sorry, it’s finland, lol … i mixed that up :grimacing:)

thought of this pic few days ago & wanted to share it with you.
the graffitti was made a few years back by a fellow grower

EDIT
@Wuachuma that sounds like a great idea, go for it ,bro !
i am pretty sure there is some really good old school moke
to be found in this kind of combos. hit me back with some
of those, if possible. i would not like to miss out being able
to enjoy your selections.
