nothing here from my santa either - I am assuming that by this point it is a lost cause to be watching the mailbox for anything from them. It was a fun project to be involved in, and would still participate again, since x-mas isn’t really about what you get. Anyone else who signed up here and sent off a pkg and didn’t get one in return, send me a PM and I will make sure that you get something.

I did a rough list of who said they got secret santa gifts and who has reported not getting them and it appears we are at about a 20% rate for undelivered secret santa goodies. That’s a pretty disappointing percentage in my opinion. At this point it has been 6 weeks since we got the addresses given to us, so even with the crappy mail, at this point I think that anyone who hasn’t gotten a pkg from this exchange is most likely to never get one.

yeah same here - it seems we are in the 20% of those here that didn’t get anything - kinda disappointing ratio - I expected better from folks here. Maybe next year if we do this we should start this in the private forum

@GrumpyOldBastards that’s a very generous offer, and I am not surprised that you or others here have offered to do the same, but it isn’t really about the seeds in my opinion - this was a feel-good holiday spirit kind of thing, and unfortunately either the USPS ate or severely delayed 20% of the pkgs here, which I find hard to believe, or some people took advantage of the situation and didn’t keep up their end of the bargain, and it may be a combination of the two. I read one or two reports of unscrupulous postal workers dumping mail because they were overwhelmed, but I doubt that would account for that high of a percentage of people not getting their seeds. I think that this type of exchange is great, and I am glad I participated since it is really about the giving spirit, and not what you get in return, but I just think that in the future we should limit the participation to those able to view the private forum, and/or maybe people should be required to send tracking numbers to the coordinator in order to participate, or some other form of accountability.

Yeah I’m up for any of those idea’s. They all seem like they would help the process and ensure everyone gets beans, or we are at least able to account for them in some way.
I can get something out to a couple people if we can get a list of people that didn’t receive anything.
