Seed Run Co-op: Bodhi's Cheech Wizard **Closed**

@nube. As @Dirtron said we are 2 different people. Just didn’t realize my name is on there twice.

Well, shit… I guess I missed this one haha! Missed the sign-up, too, and I actually woulda signed up for this one. Oh well… Anyway, just got caught up, I thought you had already done this seed run, @nube? No? I guess not. Coulda sworn you did this like six months ago. Was it just the sensi run? Didn’t you post some pics of some of these Cheech Wizard plants in the Bodhi thread like months and months ago?

Anyway, looking good! Some of those latest pics, the plants with the sorta “golfball/round” flowers really do remind me a lot of the Diablo I used to get, way back. Pretty cool that that Green Curry OG is actually Diablo, always wondered what the deal with that one was…

" Stuff like this makes me shake my head at the hubris of humans thinking we’re the only intelligent life on this planet. Don’t even get me started on mushrooms…"

So, basically we are stumbling through invisible packed concert stadiums, while wearing the greatest noise cancelling headphones ever made. Then there’s mushrooms, the visible but mostly hidden greatest biological data network on the planet that offers healing and transcendental, quantum leaps in spiritual evolution.

Plants look great! It’s hard to tell which pheno I like best. :joy:

Watched “fantastic fungi” recently and I’m still resetting my understanding of the world as a result. I did take away that I should be eating more mushrooms, which is a challenge for me personally, never been a huge fan, but I’m working on that, haven’t been able to fully unpack all the other stuff like the gigantic mycelium network that allows plants to communicate with one another, that ones waaaay too big for my pea brain to pick apart right now

these look so healthy and full of thick juicy buds a great pheno and a wonderful grow, I think they will be in your hall of fame, I hope it all turns out great at the end. I like the spacing as I am looking at how to organize my current plant placements

First, I do try to add constructive criticism or advice when I see. I have only signed up for one giveaway recently( or so I thought) and that was the purple moonshine. Am I missing something? (I really forgot I added my name). I actually didn’t enter a seed giveaway for this reason, I have them… Great work on your run, BTW. Edit: trying to correct my expression. I didn’t mean to sound so rude.

Excellent documentary. I really dig the time-lapse shots in that documentary. I turn the volume down and imagine a Moog synthesizer soundtrack creeping along a’la LAND OF THE LOST, Sleestack-inside-the-obelisk scenes.

Too late to get added to the list?

@nube just stumbled across this thread today. Maybe it’ll take me a few days to get caught up on it, and definitely will engage on the subject of this strain and grow. I saw an empty spot, and added myself, it was the very last spot. Hopefully this is OK, if not, I know the way out. Ty

lol I wondered how this would be taken. My bedside manner sucks sometimes. :man_shrugging: Thanks for those who engaged the request and took advantage of their second chance on the thread. To those who didn’t, I’m not trying to be an asshole or meanspirited, but what other method do we have to prevent one of the big criticisms of the seed runs - that people sign up to the site just to drive by, snatch and grab free seeds? :stop_sign:

Posting all those names was my non-combative attempt to point out where people weren’t following the very simple thread instructions/requests. This is right in the first post:

I don’t think I was asking too much, and I don’t think it’s wrong to point out when you didn’t do that stuff. You have a choice in how you can react to that. I’m not saying you’re a bad person, I’m not saying you suck; I’m offering a do over, a second chance, and I never said or implied you wouldn’t get your free seeds in any case. :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

But, the point remains: if you want free seeds, isn’t it kinda the least you can do to read the thread, follow the instructions, respect the wishes of the people doing the work, and actively engage things with a small amount of effort?

I’m not mad, just hoping we can surface this issue and resolve it amicably among friends.

I just wanted to make it clear that I’m not mad either. Words are very easy to misconstrue. I think the sentence structure came off that way lol… all the best to you and your grows!! Ladies are looking good… btw, what size pots are you using?

Happy Friday! Now that I’ve had a cup of coffee, I wanted to mention something else important. I’m not trying to get my tires pumped at all by saying what I said or asking people to engage the thread. I was hoping people would be excited about the cross and the seeds and discuss. A lot of you have, and I really appreciate that because I think it’s so cool. :hugs: One of the reasons I do this is so other people get to feel the same way I feel when I get seeds in the mail. I’m like a kid at Christmas!

Also, I accept responsibility for letting the thread lapse a bit and not engaging as much as I should. I haven’t been around so much to engage the thread and discussion because work has been insane the last several months. I’ve had a hard time finding enough time to post much more than a few times a week. Keep the light on for me, because I’ll hopefully going to have more time soon with the holidays coming up.

To @minitiger 's point, this seed run has already been completed and I’m just posting the thread because of said issues. Right now, I’m actually in the process of shucking seeds every night before packaging them up to send to Sebring and Headiegardens. It’s about 2-3hrs every night. I don’t mind because it’s a labor of love, but just letting you know where I’m at.

Hope everyone has a great weekend and I’ll hopefully be able to finish this thread soon.

:peace_symbol:

P.S. They’re 7gal root pouch pots @Brandon7467

Hey @nube I think I phrased my last comment/question unclearly, apologies for that. I was asking more if you have a rule of thumb for how much of the male’s top you cut off in order to do the pollinations(I.e. a certain number of the uppermost nodes you like to try to preserve?). If I understood the description of your methodology properly you said that you remove the tops of the males and place them in a vase with water and then shake those tops over the ladies rather than leaving the whole male plant in there (please correct if I’m understanding that incorrectly) I ask this because I think I’ll likely try to follow your methods myself and just want to make sure I’m understanding things correctly and following procedure accordingly. I’m quite a ways from pollination so no rush. Thanks buddy! :v:t2::call_me_hand:t2:

Edit: it can be hard to convey tone VIA text sometimes, I can hear your gentle nature in your reminders, and I can also see how it’s easy for some to misconstrue some words as hostile. Hopefully everyone can realize that we’re all friends here and this is all meant in good loving spirit. Love to each and every one of you out there.
